Step by step guide to configure PayPal as an OAuth/OpenId Connect Server

If you want to login to your WordPress site using your PayPal username and password, you can simply do it using our WP OAuth Client plugin. Once you configure the PayPal with WordPress plugin, you can sso/login to your WordPress site using PayPal credentials. This plugin also allows you to map your WordPress account different roles based on your PayPal attributes/groups. Please follow the steps given below to configure your PayPal account with WordPress and setup the Single Sign On.

Guide to configure PayPal with WordPress :

  1. Go to https://developer.paypal.com/developer/applications/ and login to your Paypal Account.
  2. You will be brought to a Application Management Page. Scroll down to REST API apps and click on Create App.

  3. You will be shown a form where you have to enter Application Name and Sandbox Developer Account. Fill the form with appropriate information. Then Click on Create App

  4. You will be brought back to Application Management page. Here you can find Client ID and Secret.

  5. Copy these credentials in MO OAuth Plugin configuration on corresponding fields.
  6. Scroll Down to Sandbox App Settings. Fill Callback/Redirect URI from MO OAuth Plugin. Then Click on + or press Enter

 PayPal Endpoints and Scope:

Client ID : from the step 4 above
Client Secret : from the step 4 above
Scope: openid
Authorize Endpoint: https://www.paypal.com/signin/authorize
Access Token Endpoint: https://api.paypal.com/v1/oauth2/token
