How to Setup OTP Verification for Buddypress/BuddyBoss Registration Form?
What is BuddyPress?
BuddyPress is a plugin for WordPress that enables the creation of a social networking site. It allows users to create profiles, connect with other users, and participate in groups. OTP Verification Plugin verifies Mobile Number of users by sending OTP Verification code before submitting BuddyPress / BuddyBoss Registration Form. The purpose of this guide is to help you setup OTP Verification for your BuddyPress/BuddyBoss form.

Follow these steps to setup OTP Verification on BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Registration form
1. Setup Phone Verification for BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Registration form
- Go to the Forms tab in the OTP Verification plugin then search and select BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Registration form from the list.
- Enable checkbox next to BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Registration form.
- Enable Phone verification and click on Click here to see your list of forms.
- Click on Add New Field button to add a Phone field if it doesn't already exist.
- Enter the Name and Description of your New Field. Make sure to remember the name of the field you added.
- Make sure to keep the visibility option set to Everyone. Then click on Save button to save your new field.
- Drag and drop the field you added to the signup field.
- Go to the Form settings page and enter the Name of Phone field that you just added. After that click on Save Settings button.
- Then go to your BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Registration Page.
- You should see your newly added field on the BuddyPress Registration Page.
- Fill all fields of the form and click on Complete Sign Up button.
- A pop-up should come up asking you to verify yourself. Enter the OTP received and click on Validate OTP button.
- You have successfully created your account! To begin using this site you will need to activate your account via the email we have just sent to your address.
- Select the following option to restrict the users to use same phone number for multiple accounts and click on the Save Settings button.

2. Setup Email Verification for BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Registration form
- Go to the Forms tab in the OTP Verification plugin then search and select BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Registration form from the list.

- Enable Email Verification and click on the Save Settings button.
- Go to your BuddyPress/BuddyBoss form page, fill all the required field and click on Complete Sign Up button.
- A pop-up should come up asking you to verify yourself. Enter the OTP received on your email and click on Validate OTP button.
- You have successfully created your account! To begin using this site you will need to activate your account via the email we have just sent to your address.
3. Allow users select between Phone or Email Verification for BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Registration form
- Go to the Forms tab in the OTP Verification plugin then search and select BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Registration form from the list.
- Enable checkbox next to BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Registration form.
- Enable Let the user choose and click on Click here to see your list of forms.
- Click on Add New Field button to add a Phone field if it doesn't already exist.
- Enter the Name and Description of your New Field. Make sure to remember the name of the field you added.
- Make sure to keep the visibility option set to Everyone. Then click on Save button to save your new field.
- Drag and drop the field you added to the signup field.
- Go to the plugin settings page and enter the Name of Phone field that you just added. After that click on Save Settings button.
- Then go to your BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Registration Page.
- You should see your newly added field on the BuddyPress Registration Page.
- Fill all fields of the form and click on Complete Sign Up button.
- A pop-up should come up asking you to select Phone or Email verification.
- Select one of the methods below to verify your account and click on the Send OTP button.
- A OTP will be send to the selected method.
- Enter the OTP received on your phone and click on Validate OTP.
- You have successfully created your account! To begin using this site you will need to activate your account via the email we have just sent to your address.
- Select the following option to restrict the users to use same phone number for multiple accounts and click on the Save Settings button.

4. Automatically Activate users after registration
- Select the following option to "Automatically activate users after verification" and click on the Save Settings button.
