Follow these steps to set up Firebase for OTP over SMS as 2FA:

• Log in to the WordPress website.
• Click on the miniOrange 2-factor plugin visible in the menu to the left.




• To access the Premium Option tab, click on it.


• On the Use SMS Gateway with Firebase check box, click on the checkbox.


• Get your API Key, Auth Domain, Project ID, storage Bucket, messaging Sender ID and app ID from your Firebase project and save it in the Firebase Authentication Plugin.


• Click on the Setup Two Factor tab.
• Click on the OTP Over SMS configure button.


• Enter your mobile number and click on the Verify button.


• Enter a one time passcode and click on the Validate OTP button.


• You have now successfully Set Up 2FA OTP Over SMS.
• Click on the Test it to reconfirm.




• Enter your WordPress Credential and click on the Log in button .


• Once you have successfully logged in, WordPress will ask you to enter the one-time password and click on the Validate button.


• We have successfully logged in using Firebase OTP over SMS.

How to Set up The Firebase Project

• The first step is to log in/signup for a Firebase account.
• Click on the Go-to console tab to continue.


• Click on the Add project to create a new Firebase project.


• Please enter your project name and click on Continue as shown below.


• Now complete the remaining steps.
• Once your project is ready, click on Continue.


• Now add a web app to your project as shown in the below image.


• Enter the App nickname and click on the Register app button.


• Click on the Continue to console .


• Go to the Authentication tab as shown in the image and click on Get started button.


• Go to the Authentication tab and select Phone.


• Enable Phone checkbox and click on the Save .


• We have successfully Enabled the Phone Authentication.


• Copy your API Key, Auth Domain, Project ID, storage Bucket, messaging Sender ID and app ID and save it in the Firebase Authentication Plugin.
