Drupal 8 (D7,D8) and Drupal 9 (D9). Here we will go through a step-by-step guide to configure SAML IDP SSO login between Drupal site and PowerSchool considering SP and Drupal as IDP.
Steps to configure PowerSchool SAML Single Sign-on ( SSO ) Login into Drupal website
2. Configure Drupal as Identity Provider
Navigate to the Configuration tab and Select Drupal SAML IDP Configuration.
In the IDP Metadata, Copy the IDP Entity ID/Issuer, SAML Login URL and Certificate (Optional) and Keep it handy.
In the miniOrage SAML Identity Provider module, go to Service Provider Setup tab of the module. There are two way to configure Drupal SAML IDP Configuration SSO module:
A. By Uploading SP Metadata
Click on UPLOAD SP METADATA link.
Click on Upload Metadata File and click on Upload to fetch your information.
You can either Upload Metadata URL and click on Fetch Metadata button.
B. Manual Configuration
Provide the required settings (i.e. Service Provider Name, SP Entity ID/Issuer, ACS URL and X.509 Certificate) find to your Service Provider PowerSchool and click on Save Configuration button to save your configuration.

SP Entity ID or Issuer
Copy SP Entity ID / Issuer (a.k.a Audience URL) from PowerSchool Dashboard
Copy ACS URL (a.k.a Destination and Recipient URL) from PowerSchool Dashboard
Copy and Download certificate from PowerSchool Dashboard
From listed option select Set Up Single Sign-On (SSO).
Sign-In Page URL
Copy SAML Login URL from IDP Metadata tab of Drupal SAML Identity Provider
Sign-Out Page URL
Copy SAML Logout URL from IDP Metadata tab of Drupal SAML Identity Provider
Copy and Download the X.509 Certificate from IDP Metadata tab of Drupal SAML Identity Provider
Select Enable Single Sign-On Check box and save the settings.
