Setup Weibo Login to Shopify Store – Shopify Weibo Social Login

Overview

The miniOrange Social Login Application makes logging into your Shopify Store super easy. With this application, your users can quickly use their Weibo account to sign in, whether it's a Shopify Plus or Non-Plus store. Once you enable Weibo Social Login, users will be able to utilize their preferred credentials to access your Shopify store. Users will not need to create multiple accounts and they will be able to log in using their Weibo Account.

Weibo Login for Shopify

Weibo login can be easily enabled on any Shopify store with a quick and easy setup in just a few steps. Weibo is the most popular social networking platform in China. Weibo means microblogging and is used to share news, updates and messages just like Twitter.

Pre-requisites: Shopify Social Login Application

To configure SSO into Shopify with Weibo as IDP, you will need to install the miniOrange Social Login application on your Shopify store.

Configuration Steps

Step-By-Step Guide to Enable Weibo Login on Shopify Store

Step 1: Configure Custom App in Shopify for Weibo Login

• Go to the social login application Dashboard. Here, please click on Weibo application.

• If you don't want to setup your custom app then please click on Setup app in just one click. Then, Click on Save. This will setup your Weibo application for Shopify.

• That is all you require to do to add Connect with Weibo button to Shopify. To Setup a custom app for Weibo, please follow the steps below.

Step 2: Configure Custom App for Shopify Weibo

• Go to Click Here and sign in with your weibo app developer account.
• From the Developers site home page, click on Website access from the dropdown menu.

• Click on Instant Access button.

• Enter app name in the application name field. Note that your application name cannot include blank spaces.
• Select I have read and accepted the “microblogging developer agreement” and then click on Create button.

• Select the Advanced settings tab. Click on Edit button.

• Enter your redirect URL in the Authorization callback page field and enter your Website URL in Cancel authorization callback field then click on Save Changes button.

• Go back to Basic Settings tab. Copy the App key and App Secret from the app basic information

Step 3: Complete Setup of Weibo Login on Shopify

• Copy the Client Id and Client Secret form above setup and Paste them into the fields in Instructions.

• Then click on Save & Test Configuration button.

• A notification from the app will pop-up that the test configuration was successful. That means your Custom app was set properly.

• Now, You can see the Weibo social Login button is activated on your Shopify Store. This will allow users to connect to your shopify store using Weibo application.

Hence you have configured Weibo Social Login into Shopify Store.
