ShinyProxy Single Sign-On (SSO) With WordPress As OAuth Server

WordPress OAuth Server plugin enables Single Sign-On (SSO) into the ShinyProxy app using your WordPress username and password. Once you configure the ShinyProxy with WP OAuth Server plugin, you can login to your ShinyProxy application using WP credentials. OAuth Server plugin also allows you to send custom WordPress user attributes to your ShinyProxy app as per your requirements.   • Log into your WordPress instance as an admin.
  • Go to the WordPress Dashboard >> Plugins and click on Add New.
  • Search for a WordPress OAuth Server Single Sign-On (SSO) plugin and click on Install Now.
  • Once installed click on Activate.
  • Sign in to your ShinyProxy account as Administrator.
  • Copy the Redirect/Callback URL, we will need it while configuring WordPress OAuth server plugin. You will get Client ID, Client secret and other required details once you successfully configure the WordPress OAuth Server plugin.

Authorization Endpoint : <your domain>/wp-json/moserver/authorize
Token Endpoint : <your domain>/wp-json/moserver/token
Scope : openid email profile
jwks-url : You can get it once you add a client in the OAuth Server plugin by visiting the discovery document.
  • Go to miniOrange OAuth Server on the left side menu.
  • Now, search for your required OAuth Client (i.e. ShinyProxy).
  • Click on the ShinyProxy icon.

  • Enter Client name as you want. Get the Redirect / Callback URL from ShinyProxy and enter under Redirect URI field. Click on Save client button.

  • Note down Client ID, Client Secret, Endpoints to configure in your OAuth Client.
