Shopify Social Login – Configure Social Login Into Shopify
The
miniOrange Social Login Application
simplifies the user login experience by enabling individuals to connect to
your website using popular social networking platforms such as Facebook,
Google, Twitter, etc.
This application serves as a form of single sign-on, Users visit your website
and choose their preferred social login provider, such as Facebook or Google.
They then provide their details on the selected social network's platform.
Once the authentication process is completed by the social provider, users can
seamlessly access your Shopify website. New users are registered while
existing users are logged in seamlessly.

Pre-requisite:
Before you begin setting up Social Login on Shopify Stores, make sure you have installed the miniOrange Social Login app.

Step-By-Step Guide to Enable Social Login on Shopify Store
1. Add a Social Login Application
- Open the miniOrange Social Login Application at the Shopify App Store. You can use this Link as well.
- Click on Install
- You will be redirected to the Shopify Dashboard. Click on Install App
- You have successfully installed miniOrange Social Login Application on your Shopify Store.
2. Configure the miniOrange Social Login Application on your shopify store.
- To configure miniOrange Social Login Application on your Shopify Store, navigate to your Shopify store's Apps section and select the miniOrange Social Login application.
- You'll be redirected to the Social Login Application dashboard. Enable the toggle for your preferred Social Networking Appliation. Say for example "Google" Refer below image.
- Click on your preferred Social networking Application.
- Follow the Custom App Instructions given on this page.
- You will get the App ID and App Secret from your social login provider. Paste the obtained App ID and App Secret in the dashboard as shown in the below image. Keep the Scope as suggested in the instructions
- Once done, Click on Save
3. Customize Social Login Icons
- If you want to customize the icon that is going to be shown on the login screen, you can customize it with the help of the Design Icons section.
4. Test Your Configuration
- Click on your preferred Social networking application.
- Click Test Configurations on the Social Login Dashboard to validate your setup.
- A window should pop up, as Shown in the below image.
- You have correctly configured the application.
5. Enable the login link in the header of your online store.
- Open your Shopify Store Admin Dashboard. Click on Settings
- Navigate to Customer accounts. Under Accounts in the online store and checkout tab, Make sure to check the Show login link in the header of the online store and at the checkout box. Now you will see the option to choose the Version of the customer account you will have to select Classic Customer Accounts Click on Save.
6. Enable the Social Login widget
- Once all the configurations for the social login application are done, Navigate to Shopify Store >> Online Store >> Themes Click on Customize As Shown in the Image.
- Go to the App Embeds Section, and turn the mO Social Login widget On
- Now you can see the Social Login button is showing on your login page.
You have completed the Social Login Setup.
