Managing Membership System with ARMember Membership Integrator for Wordpress

  1. Let's say you have a membership-based website that offers different levels of access: Basic, Premium, and VIP. You also have an Identity Provider that stores additional user data, such as the user's subscription status (which determines their membership level).
  2. When a user logs in to your WordPress site, the "miniOrange ARMember Membership Integrator" plugin communicates with the IdP, retrieves the user's subscription status attribute, and based on this attribute:
    • If the user has a Basic subscription, they are assigned the "Basic" role in WordPress, granting access to basic content and features.
    • If the user has a Premium subscription, they are assigned the "Premium" role in WordPress, granting access to premium content and features.
    • If the user has a VIP subscription, they are assigned the "VIP" role in WordPress, granting access to all content and exclusive features.
  3. Even in the scenario where a user's role in WordPress isn't directly mapped to a specific membership level in ARMember, you need not worry. When a user with an unmapped role performs SSO into your ARMember site, the system automatically assigns them a default membership level.
