miniOrange Profile Picture Sync for WordPress and BuddyPress Add-On
Overview
The Profile Picture Sync for WordPress and BuddyPress add-on enables you to sync user profile pictures from your LDAP Server / Active Directory to your WordPress user profiles and vice versa. Using this add-on, you can guarantee that your users maintain identical profile pictures on WordPress and your LDAP server / Active Directory. This ensures a uniform user experience and eliminates concerns.
Prerequisites
- LDAP/Active Directory Login for Intranet Sites premium plugin needs to be installed and configured.
- BuddyPress plugin must be installed.

Download And Install
- Login to login.xecurify.com.
- In your xecurify Dashboard, you will find a navigation section on the left-side panel.
- Click on the License and navigate to Manage Licenses.
- In the manage licenses tab click on the Releases and Downloads tab.
- Download the miniOrange Profile Picture Sync Add-On from the list of available plugins and add-ons to download in this section.
- Go to your WordPress website admin dashboard.
- Navigate to the Plugins section in the WordPress dashboard and click on the Add New button.
- Click on the Upload Plugin and choose the file to select the downloaded miniOrange Profile Picture Sync Add-On zip file.
- Once done, click on the Install Now button.
- Click on the Activate Plugin button to activate the add-On.
Setup LDAP Password Sync Add-On
- Click on miniOrange Profile Picture Sync from the left panel of the WordPress admin dashboard.
- In the Profile Photo Attribute enter the LDAP / Active Directory attribute name that stores the user profile photo. This attribute depends on your LDAP server. You can find the user Profile Photo attribute for some of the common LDAP servers below:
Microsoft Active Directory: thumbnailPhoto
OpenLDAP / FreeIPA: jpegPhoto - Once done, click on the Save Configuration button.
- Click on the Enable Profile Picture Mapping checkbox to enable profile picture mapping for WordPress users. This will enable you to sync LDAP / Active Directory profile picture to your WordPress profile picture.
- If you are using the BuddyPress plugin, click on the Enable BuddyPress Profile Picture Mapping checkbox to enable profile picture mapping for BuddyPress plugin. This will enable you to integrate your LDAP / AD profile picture to your BuddyPress extended user profile section.
- If a WordPress user updates his / her profile picture from their user dashboard, the new profile picture will be updated in the Active Directory. This will ensure users maintain identical profile pictures on both platforms.

Update/Reset Password In WordPress
- In Test Attribute Configuration enter the username and click on Test Configuration.
- The Profile Picture Mapping test is successful.
- Login in your WordPress site using LDAP Credentials and you will see the user's LDAP thumbnail photo is mapped to WP user profile picture.
- The user's LDAP thumbnail photo is also mapped to BuddyPress user profile photo.
