Setup Amazon Login to Shopify Store – Shopify Amazon Social Login

Overview

The miniOrange Social Login Application makes logging into your Shopify Store super easy. With this application, your users can quickly use their Amazon account to sign in, whether it's a Shopify Plus or Non-Plus store. Once you enable Amazon Social Login, users will be able to utilize their preferred credentials to access your Shopify store. Users will not need to create multiple accounts and they will be able to log in using their Amazon Account.

Amazon Login for Shopify

Amazon is one of the biggest shopping hubs. All of us regularly use Amazon to purchase various things. Login with Amazon will allow your users to complete their shopping experience on your website with ease. They can use their existing Amazon account to shop on your store. Using Login with Amazon for Shopify will also give your customers a sense of familiarity and comfort.

Pre-requisites: Shopify Social Login Application

To configure SSO into Shopify with Amazon as IDP, you will need to install the miniOrange Social Login application on your Shopify store.

Configuration Steps

Step-By-Step Guide to Enable Amazon Login on Shopify Store

Step 1: Configure Custom App in Shopify for Amazon Login

• Go to the social login application Dashboard. Here, please click on Amazon application.

• If you don't want to setup your custom app then please click on Setup app in just one click. Then, Click on Save. This will setup your Amazon application for Shopify.

• That is all you require to do to add Connect with Amazon button to Shopify. To Setup a custom app for Amazon, please follow the steps below.

Step 2: Configure Custom App in Amazon

• Go to http://login.amazon.com and sign in with your amazon developer account and select App Console.

• On the page, Click on the Create a New Security Profile button and enter a Name, Description, and Privacy Notice URL for your app. Click on Save

• Expand the Web Settings section.

• Enter the Callback/Redirect URL (from your social login Instructions)in the Allowed Return URLs.Click on save button to save your configurations.

• view your client Id and client Secret (Refer to the image below).

Step 3: Complete Setup of Amazon Login on Shopify

• Copy the Client Id and Client Secret form above setup and Paste them into the fields in Instructions.

• Then click on Save & Test Configuration button.
• A notification from the app will pop-up that the test configuration was successful. That means your Custom app was set properly.

• Go to the App Dashboard and click on the toggle button on amazon icon to activate amazon login button so that people can sign-in to your store using Login with amazon.

• Now, You can see the Amazon social Login button is activated on your Shopify Store. This will allow users to connect to your shopify store using Amazon application.

Hence you have configured Amazon Social Login into Shopify Store.
