The Magento LDAP / Active Directory Login Integration extension allows your LDAP / Window Active Directory users to login to Magento using their LDAP / Active Directory (AD) credentials. We provide a Magento LDAP / Active Directory Login Integration extension
compatible with latest Magento 2.4.x version.
The user’s LDAP Authentication can be performed on various LDAP servers like Microsoft Active Directory, OpenLDAP,
Azure AD, JumpCloud, OpenDS, FreeIPA, Synology, and other Directory systems. Here we will go through the steps
required to configure the LDAP Integration on your Magento site. By the end of this guide your users can login to
Magento using their LDAP server credentials.
Steps to
configure Magento LDAP / Active Directory Login Integration extension.
- Once you have installed the extension, navigate to Active Directory / LDAP Login ➔ LDAP Settings as shown in the below image.
- Enter your App Name and LDAP /Active Directory server URL or IP address.
- Enter the service account username (Bind Account DN) and password (Bind Account Password) and click on the Save & Test Connection button.
- Select the appropriate search base from the Search Base(s) dropdown. Users located within this search
base will be able to log in to your Magento site using their LDAP credentials.
- Select the username attribute from the Search Filter/Username Attribute dropdown. This is the LDAP
attribute your LDAP users will use to log in to your Magento website.
- Navigate to Sign in Settings tab
- Check the Enable Customer login with LDAP checkbox to enable LDAP Authentication on your site.
- Check the Auto Create Customer Users to automatically create your LDAP user's account in
Magento upon LDAP authentication if they do not already exist in Magento.
- Check the Allow users to Login using both Magento and LDAP Credentials to allow your customers to login using either Magento or LDAP credentials in Magento.
- Check the Allow users to Login only using LDAP Credentials to allow your customers to login only their LDAP credentials in Magento.
- Click on Save button.

How to
login to Magento using LDAP credentials?
- Open a private/incognito window and go to your Magento site login page.
- Enter the user's LDAP credentials. Remember, the username should match the LDAP attribute value you chose from
the search filter dropdown
