Setup Twitch Login to Shopify Store – Shopify Twitch Social Login

Overview

The miniOrange Social Login Application makes logging into your Shopify Store super easy. With this application, your users can quickly use their Twitch account to sign in, whether it's a Shopify Plus or Non-Plus store. Once you enable Twitch Social Login, users will be able to utilize their preferred credentials to access your Shopify store. Users will not need to create multiple accounts and they will be able to log in using their Twitch Account.

Twitch Login for Shopify

Twitch is a website booming with various communities surrounding gaming, music, art, and whatnot. Content creators can bring their loyal viewers from Twitch to their Shopify store. By enabling Shopify Twitch login your viewers from Twitch can shop on your website in just a couple of clicks

Pre-requisites: Shopify Social Login Application

To configure SSO into Shopify with Twitch as IDP, you will need to install the miniOrange Social Login application on your Shopify store.

Configuration Steps

Step-By-Step Guide to Enable Twitch Login on Shopify Store

Step 1: Configure Custom App in Shopify for Twitch Login

• Go to the social login application Dashboard. Here, please click on Twitch application.

• If you don't want to setup your custom app then please click on Setup app in just one click. Then, Click on Save. This will setup your Twitch application for Shopify.

• That is all you require to do to add Connect with Twitch button to Shopify. To Setup a custom app for Twitch, please follow the steps below.

Step 2: Configure Custom App in Twitch

• Go to Twitch developers dashboard https://dev.twitch.tv/console/apps. Sign in with your Twitch account.
• Click on Register Your Application.

• Then enter Name of your application in Name field. Enter Callback URL in the OAuth Redirect URL. Then select your website Category.
• Click on Create button.

• After creating application click on manage button which in front of your created application.
• Click on New Secret button. It will generate Client Secret key. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret from this page.

Step 3: Complete Setup of Twitch Login on Shopify

• Copy the Client Id and Client Secret form above setup and Paste them into the fields in Instructions.

• Then click on Save & Test Configuration button.
• A notification from the app will pop-up that the test configuration was successful. That means your Custom app was set properly.

• Go to the App Dashboard and click on the toggle button on Twitch icon to activate Twitch login button so that people can sign-in to your store using Login with Twitch.

• Now, You can see the Twitch social Login button is activated on your Shopify Store. This will allow users to connect to your shopify store using Twitch application.

Hence you have configured Twitch Social Login into Shopify Store.
