If they are a new user then they are registered and if they are an existing user they are logged in.

Steps to Configure Twitch Social Login into Shopify

Step 1: Add Social Login App to your Shopify Store

Follow the steps below to configure Twitch Social login in Shopify

  • Visit to https://apps.shopify.com/miniorange-social-login on Shopify marketplace. Click on Add app to install it on your store.

  • Once you have installed it, it will take you to the social login application Dashboard. Here, please click on Twitch.

  • If you don't want to setup your custom app then please click on Setup app in just one click. Then, Click on Save. This will setup your Twitch application for Shopify.

  • That is all you require to do to add Connect/Login with Twitch button to Shopify. To Setup a custom app for Twitch, please follow the steps below.

Step 2: Configure Custom App for Shopify Twitch Login :

  • Go to Twitch developers dashboard https://dev.twitch.tv/console/apps. Sign in with your Twitch account.
  • Click on Register Your Application.

  • Then enter Name of your application in Name field. Enter Callback URL in the OAuth Redirect URL. Then select your website Category.
  • Click on Create button.

  • After creating application click on manage button which in front of your created application.
  • Click on New Secret button. It will generate Client Secret key. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret from this page.

Step 3: Complete Setup of Twitch Login on Shopify

  • Copy the Client Id and Client Secret form above setup and Paste them into the fields in Instructions.

  • Then click on Save & Test Configuration button.
  • Custom app will set properly when Test configuration get successful

  • Go to the App Dashboard and click on the toggle button on twitch icon to activate twitch login button so that people can sign-in to your store using Login with twitch.

  • Now, You can see the twitch social Login button is activated on your Shopify Store. This will allow users to connect to your store using twitch.
