The miniOrange Active Directory Integration / LDAP Integration extension for OpenCart Stores allows you to authenticate your users using their Active Directory/LDAP Server credentials into the OpenCart store.The LDAP Authentication can be performed on various Active Directory / Implementations such as Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Active Directory, OpenLDAP, JumpCloud, FreeIPA Directory, and many more.
Step 1: Download and Install
- Login into the OpenCart Dashboard.
- In the navigation section, Click on Extensions >> Installer and click on the Upload button to upload the miniorangeldap.ocmod.zip file.
- Once uploaded, in the Installed Extensions section, you will be able to see the plugin. Click on the Install button to install the plugin.
- From the navigation section go to Extensions >> Extensions. Choose the Extension type as Modules.
- In the Modules section, locate Active Directory Integration / LDAP Integration and click on the Install button.
Step 2: Setup LDAP Configuration
- To configure the Active Directory Integration / LDAP Integration plugin, click on the Edit button.
LDAP Connection Information
- LDAP Server : Enter the directory server protocol (LDAP/LDAPS) followed by the hostname or IP address of the directory server and enter the server port number (389/636).
Ex. ldap://example.com:port_number
- Username : Enter the service account username.
- Password : Enter the password of the service account username.
- Search Base : Enter the search base(s) DNs. You can separate the search base DNs with ";".
Ex. cn=Users,dc=domain,dc=com; ou=people,dc=domain,dc=com
- Username Attribute : Enter the LDAP Username Attribute such as samaccountname,email,uid,etc for which you want as the username for the LDAP users in WordPress. You can enter any LDAP Username Attribute as per your requirement.
- Click on the Test & Save Configuration button to establish the connection with your LDAP server.
Test Authentication
- To test the User Authentication, enter the username & password of any LDAP user which exists in the configured search bases.
- Click on the Test Authentication button.
- After successful test authentication proceed for the Sign In Settings.
Sign In Settings
- Click on the Enable LDAP login button. This will enable the users who are present in your Active Directory to log in to your OpenCart website using their LDAP credentials.
