Maltego SSO using WordPress As OAuth Server


WordPress OAuth Server plugin enables Single Sign-On (SSO) into the Maltego app using your WordPress username and password. Once you configure the Maltego with WP OAuth Server plugin, you can login to your Maltego application using WP credentials. OAuth Server plugin also allows you to send custom WordPress user attributes to your Maltego app as per your requirements. Download And Installation

  • Log into your WordPress instance as an admin.
  • Go to the WordPress Dashboard -> Plugins and click on Add New.
  • Search for a WordPress OAuth Server Single Sign-On (SSO) plugin and click on Install Now.
  • Once installed click on Activate.

Steps to configure WordPress Login into Maltego

1. Setup Maltego as OAuth Client

  • Sign in to your Maltego account as Administrator.
  • Copy the Redirect/Callback URL, we will need it while configuring WordPress OAuth server plugin. You will get Client ID, Client secret and other required details once you successfully configure the WordPress OAuth Server plugin.
  • Client ID : Click Here
    Client Secret : Click Here
    Authorization Endpoint : <your domain>/wp-json/moserver/authorize
    Token Endpoint : <your domain>/wp-json/moserver/token
    Userinfo Endpoint : <your domain>/wp-json/moserver/resource
    Scope : openid email profile

2. Setup WordPress as OAuth Server

  • Go to miniOrange OAuth Server plugin on the left side menu and choose your OAuth client from the list, Here Custom OAuth 2.0 Client.
  • OAuth server Single Sign-On(SSO)WordPress- Maltego add client
  • Enter Client name as you want. Get the Redirect / Callback URL from Maltego and enter under Redirect URI field. Click on Save client button.
  • OAuth server Single Sign-On(SSO)WordPress- Maltego Redirect URI
  • Note down Client ID, Client Secret, Endpoints to configure in your OAuth Client.
