Setup Guide for WordPress Embed Outlook Integration Plugin

Embed Outlook Teams Calendar Events plugin provides feature to embed Outlook calendars on the wordpress site. The plugin uses micorsoft graph API to fetch these data from Microsoft Outlook.

Pre-requisites : Download And Installation

To Embed Outlook Teams Calendar Events you would need the following Pre-requisites.

  • You will need Azure AD Global Administrator Access.

Embed Outlook Teams Calendar Events plugin provides feature to embed Outlook calendars on the wordpress site. The plugin uses micorsoft graph API to fetch these data from Microsoft Outlook.


1. Configure the Azure AD App registration
  • Log in to Azure AD Portal https://portal.azure.com/ as an Administrator.
  • You will be represented with the home screen of Azure Active Directory.
  • Under the Azure Services section, select Microsoft Entra ID.

  • In the left tab, under the Manage section, select App registrations tab.

  • Click on the New Registration option.

  • Assign the Display Name in the name field and choose the account type.
  • In the Redirect URI field, provide the URL of your WordPress site and click on Register button.

  • After the registration of an application, Azure AD assigns an unique application ID to your application.
  • Navigate to the Overview tab, in the left pane.
  • Copy the Application ID and the Directory ID, this will be your Client ID and Tenant ID.

  • From the left navigation pane, navigate to the Certificates & secrets tab.
  • Click on New client secret. Enter the description and expiration time and click on the ADD option.

  • Copy the value of Secret Key. This will be your Client Secret Key.

  • Go to API Permissions from the left navigation pane and click on Add a permission option.

  • Select Microsoft Graph under the Microsoft APIs tab.
  • Select Application Permissions then search for Calendars to add Calendars.Read permission and then click on the Add Permissions button.

  • Equally, look for Mail option to add Mail.Send permission, and once again, click the "Add Permission" button.

  • Click on Grant admin consent for Default Directory and click on Yes on grant admin consent confirmation.

    You have successfully configured Azure AD app to integrate the Embed Outlook Events and Calendar plugin into your WordPress Site.

2. Configure the miniOrange Outlook plugin
  • Navigate to the miniOrange Outlook plugin.
  • Under the Manage Application tab, paste the information from the Azure AD App.
Application ID Paste the Application ID from Azure AD App.
Client Secrets Paste the Client Secret from the Azure AD App.
Tenant ID Paste the Directory ID from Azure AD App.
Test UPN/ID Enter the Principal name or Object ID of any valid Outlook user whose calendar you want to view.

  • Click on Save button to save the configurations.
  • Once the configurations are saved, click on Test Connection.
  • After a successful test connection, you would be able to see a success message in test window.

  • Now you can navigate to the Calendar Preview tab in the plugin to view the calendar of the Test user.

  • Finally, you can navigate to the Shortcode tab of the plugin and copy the shortcode using the button as below and embed calendar to any page and post.
