How to Connect Magento to Claude Using miniOrange Magento MCP Server

Connect your Magento store to Claude using the miniOrange Secure MCP Server for Magento. Once connected, Claude can securely access live store data and answer questions about customers, orders, products, inventory, and sales.
This guide explains the connection process, authorization flow, tool permissions and example prompts.

  1. In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors.
  2. Browse (or search) the Directory for "miniOrange MCP for Magento" and select it.
  3. Click Connect.
  4. Enter your Magento store URL. You will then be redirected to your store's own administrator login page.
  5. Sign in as a Magento administrator and approve the requested connection.
  6. After authorization, you will be redirected to Claude, where the miniOrange Magento MCP connector will appear as connected.

After the connector is active, ask Claude questions in natural language. The following examples demonstrate common Magento operations.

Use Case Example Prompt
Customer lookup Show me everything about customer roni_cost@example.com, including how many orders they have placed and their recent activity.
Inventory and restocking Which products are low on stock right now, and what should I prioritize restocking?
Sales analysis Give me a sales summary for this month compared to last month.
Order triage Find orders that need attention today, including anything stuck, delayed, or flagged.
Catalog and merchandising What are our best-selling products this quarter, and are any of them close to running out of stock?
  • Settings → Connectors → miniOrange Magento MCP → Disconnect. This immediately revokes the connection on both sides — Claude's access and your store's tokens are both invalidated right away.
