How to setup Inventory Sync between Shopify and Amrod to sync products?

This guide walks you through connecting Amrod to Shopify, so you can streamline inventory management, import Amrod products to Shopify, and keep stock levels updated. Amrod Shopify catalog management can be challenging for merchants, due to frequent changes in stock availability, product pricing, etc. Amrod automated product sync with Shopify can address this by allowing product imports, price updates, and inventory adjustments to happen automatically.

With Shopify Inventory Sync, merchants can sync their Shopify store with Amrod inventory automatically, ensuring accurate stock availability and updated pricing across multiple sales channels. This prevents errors in inventory management and ensures a smoother shopping experience for customers.

To configure Inventory Sync between Shopify and Amrod, you will need to install the Inventory Sync application on your stores.

  • Log in to your Shopify Admin.
  • Go to Apps → Shopify App Store.
  • Search for miniOrange Inventory Sync.
  • Click Install to add the app to your store.
  • Open the app from Apps to start Amrod Shopify Inventory Sync configuration.
  • Navigate to App section and click on the Inventory Sync application.
  • Install the Shopify Inventory Sync application to connect Amrod to Shopify for automated inventory updates.
  • Click on Create Connection to begin the setup.

  • Select Amrod as the connection source from the list of suppliers.

  • To establish the connection, provide a suitable “Connection Name“ to identify the connection.
  • Enter your Amrod credentials, which include "Username", "User Password" and "Customer Code".
  • Click on "Test Connection".

  • Choose locations where you want to sync your inventory.
  • Then, click on the “Save & Next” button.

  • Enable the “Schedule sync” option to choose how often to sync inventory products.

  • Choose “Select Schedule” from the dropdown depending on how often you want to sync your inventory products (i.e, Hourly, Daily, Weekly)
  • Enter the “Sync Interval”. (In case you have selected Schedule as “Hourly”, you will be required to enter sync interval in hours, while in all other cases you should enter a “Time” at which you want your import or sync to start. )
  • Click on the “Save & Next” button.

  • Enable the “Price Update” button to apply the pricing rule to all products in the store.

  • Click on the “Add Rule” option to add pricing rules. (You can add pricing rules from the list. There are three different types of pricing rules available, e.g, Fixed Amount, Percentage, and Custom expression.)
  • Custom Expression — This option allows you to manually define how a value should be calculated rather than using a fixed number or pre-defined formula. You can enter your mathematical formula in the form of an expression like “Price*5/2”, Where price — A variable representing the original price, * — Multiplication operator, / — Division operator. To configure a pricing rule, select 'Updated by', 'Operations', and 'Value'.

  • Then, click on the “Save & Next” button.

  • Choose all "Sales Channels"" where you want to publish your products.
  • Then, click on the “Next” button.

  • Generic filters control which products, variants, and warehouse data are synced from your supplier to your Shopify store.
  • You can filter based on various attributes and conditions to ensure only the relevant data is imported.
  • Locate the Enable Generic Filter section and switch the toggle to enable it.

  • Once enabled, the filter categories for Product, Variant, and Warehouse will become active.

Choose which level of data you want to filter by clicking the corresponding filter.

  • Product Filter: Used for high-level data like Brand Name, Style ID, or Category.

  • Warehouse Filter: Used for logistical data like Full Case Only or Dropship Availability.

For each filter you add, configure the following fields:

  • Filter on: Select the specific attribute (e.g., Brand Name).
  • Condition: Choose the logic operator (e.g., Equal to, Contains, or Field does not exist).
Operator Logic
Equal to An exact 1-to-1 match. The supplier's data must match your input perfectly (including spaces).
Equal to any in list Matches any exact value from a comma-separated list you provide.
Contains Matches if your specified text is found anywhere within the supplier's field.
Contains any from list Matches if any of the keywords in your list are present within the supplier's field.
Field does not exist Targets and identifies records where the specific attribute (e.g., Color or GTIN) is missing or empty.

  • Value:
    1. Autocomplete: If a dropdown list appears, select your value from the list.
    2. Manual Entry: If no list appears, manually type the exact value provided by your supplier. Ensure correct spelling and capitalization.

If you need to narrow down your results further using advanced logic, click + Add condition inside a filter card.

  • AND: The item must meet both rules to sync.
  • OR: The item can meet either rule to sync.

  • Boolean Values: For warehouse rules like "Full Case Only", select True or False from the dropdown.

  • After completing your filter settings, click Save in the top Shopify bar to store your settings.
  • Click Save & Next at the bottom of the page to finalize the workflow.

  • Once configured, only products and variants that match your specific rules will be synced to your store.
  • You can update or reset these filters at any time to reflect changes in your business strategy.

This is optional. If you have already configured the schedule sync option, the products will be imported and synced automatically at the scheduled time. The Schedule Sync option is recommended to import and sync the products regularly.Use this option if you want to import the products right away.

  • Click on “Import Products” to transfer your products to your selected locations.

  • Once “Import Products” button is clicked, the transfer of products from the source to the store starts immediately. However, the completion of the process may take about an hour.
