WordPress OAuth Server plugin enables Single Sign-On (SSO) into the Freshworks/Freshdesk app using your WordPress username and password. Once you configure the Freshworks/Freshdesk with WP OAuth Server plugin, you can login to your Freshworks/Freshdesk application using WP credentials. OAuth Server plugin also allows you to send custom WordPress user attributes to your Freshworks/Freshdesk app as per your requirements. Download And Installation

  • Log into your WordPress instance as an admin.
  • Go to the WordPress Dashboard -> Plugins and click on Add New.
  • Search for a WordPress OAuth Server Single Sign-On (SSO) plugin and click on Install Now.
  • Once installed click on Activate.

Steps to configure WordPress Login into Freshworks/Freshdesk

1. Setup WordPress as OAuth Server

  • Go to miniOrange OAuth Server on the left side menu and click on Custom OAuth 2.0 Client button to create a new client.
  • OAuth server Single Sign-On(SSO)WordPress- Freshworks/Freshdesk add client
  • Enter Client name as you want. Enter the Redirect URL provided by Freshworks/Freshdesk under the Redirect URI field and click on Save Client button.
  • OAuth server Single Sign-On(SSO)WordPress- Freshworks/Freshdesk Authorized Redirect URI
  • Note down Client ID, Client Secret, Endpoints and Scope to configure in your Freshworks/Freshdesk app.
  • OAuth server Single Sign-On(SSO)WordPress- Freshworks/Freshdesk Client credentials

2. Setup Freshworks/Freshdesk as OAuth Client

  • Log in to your Freshworks/Freshdesk account and Click on the Security icon in the sidebar.
  • OAuth server Single Sign-On(SSO)WordPress- Freshworks/Freshdesk go to security
  • Click on Default Login Methods, and enable the SSO Login option to simplify your users' login experience.
  • OAuth server Single Sign-On(SSO)WordPress- Freshworks/Freshdesk enable SSO
  • Choose OAuth 2.0 as your login protocol and the IdP of your choice.
  • Note: Organization Admins are the only ones who can configure SSO.also you can access the Neo Admin Center by opening the Freshworks/Freshdesk Switcher and clicking on your organization domain link.

  • Enter the Client ID, Client Secret and Endpoints ,you get the details from miniOrange OAuth server plugin.Click on Configure SSO button.

    Scope: profile,openid
    Authorize Endpoint: https://< your-wordpress-domain >/wp-json/moserver/authorize
    Access Token Endpoint: https://< your-wordpress-domain >/wp-json/moserver/token
    Get User Info Endpoint: https://< your-wordpress-domain >/wp-json/moserver/resource
