Drupal Spotify SSO integration will allow you to configure Single Sign-On ( SSO ) login between your Drupal site and Spotify using OAuth/OpenID protocol. Drupal OAuth 2.0/OpenID connect module gives the ability to enable login using OAuth 2.0/OIDC Single Sign-On to Drupal Site. We provide the Drupal OAuth/OpenID Client module for Drupal 7, Drupal 8, Drupal 9 and Drupal 10.
Here we will go through a guide to configure the SSO login between Drupal and Spotify. By following these steps, users of Spotify will be able to log into the Drupal site using their Spotify credentials.

Setup Video Spotify as OAuth Provider

You can refer the steps to Configure Spotify with the Drupal OAuth Client module from the Video or Documentation given below

1. Integration of Spotify as OAuth Provider

• First of all, go to https://developer.spotify.com/dashboard/applications and log into your Spotify account.
• You will be presented with following screen. Click on Create new App.

• You will be shown a popup with a form where you have to enter App name and App description. Then, enable the check box and click on the Create button.

• After creating the application, you will be brought to Application Management page. Click on Show Secret. Here you will find given Client ID and Client Secret.


2. Integrating Drupal with Spotify

• Copy these credentials in Drupal OAuth Client module configuration on corresponding fields.
• Click on Edit Settings. You will get a pop up with app settings. scroll to Redirect URI add the same from Drupal OAuth Client login module and click on Save.



Spotify Endpoints and Scope:




Client ID :	from the step 5 above
Client Secret :	from the step 5 above
Scope:	user-read-email
Authorize Endpoint:	https://accounts.spotify.com/authorize
Access Token Endpoint:	https://accounts.spotify.com/api/token
Get User Info Endpoint:	https://api.spotify.com/v1/me

3. Test Configuration of Drupal with Spotify

• After successfully saving the configurations, please click on the Test Configuration button to test the connection between Drupal and Spotify.

• This Test Configuration window will provide you with a list of the attributes that are coming from the Spotify.
• Select the Email Attribute from the dropdown menu in which the user's email ID is obtained and click on the Done button.

• Now, in the Attribute & Role Mapping tab, you can also choose the Username Attribute from the dropdown and click on the Save Configuration button.


Please note: Mapping the Email Attribute is mandatory for your login to work.

• Now log out and go to your Drupal site’s login page. You will automatically find a Login with Spotify link there. If you want to add the SSO link to other pages as well, please follow the steps given in the image below :
