Setup Tumblr Login to Shopify Store – Shopify Tumblr Social Login

Overview

The miniOrange Social Login Application makes logging into your Shopify Store super easy. With this application, your users can quickly use their Tumblr account to sign in, whether it's a Shopify Plus or Non-Plus store. Once you enable Tumblr Social Login, users will be able to utilize their preferred credentials to access your Shopify store. Users will not need to create multiple accounts and they will be able to log in using their Tumblr Account.

Tumblr Login for Shopify

Tumblr is basically the combination of social networking sites (such as Facebook and Twitter) and a blog site. It allows users to effortlessly share anything. Post text, photos, quotes, links, music, and videos from your browser, phone, desktop, email and so on. Pre-requisites: Shopify Social Login Application

To configure SSO into Shopify with Tumblr as IDP, you will need to install the miniOrange Social Login application on your Shopify store.

Configuration Steps

Step-By-Step Guide to Enable Tumblr Login on Shopify Store

Step 1: Configure Custom App in Shopify for Tumblr Login

• Go to the social login application Dashboard. Here, please click on Tumblr application.

• If you don't want to setup your custom app then please click on Setup app in just one click. Then, Click on Save. This will setup your Tumblr application for Shopify.

• That is all you require to do to add Connect with Tumblr button to Shopify. To Setup a custom app for Tumblr, please follow the steps below.

Step 2: Configure Custom App in Tumblr site

• Go to https://www.tumblr.com/oauth/apps and sign in with your Tumblr account.
• On that page click on the "register an application" link. Now the "Application" page does load. On that page you can see all the information about tumblr OAuth

• Enter the Application Name and under application Website URL, Enter Website URL.

• Under Default callback url section, Enter Callback URL (from instructions page) and click on Save changes button.

• After that if you want your secret key click on "show secret key". You will get your OAuth consumer key (Client ID) and secret key(Client Secret).

Step 3: Complete Setup of Tumblr Login on Shopify

• Copy the Client Id and Client Secret form above setup and Paste them into the fields in Instructions.

• Then click on Save & Test Configuration button.

• A notification from the app will pop-up that the test configuration was successful. That means your Custom app was set properly.

• Now, You can see the Tumblr social Login button is activated on your Shopify Store. This will allow users to connect to your shopify store using Tumblr application.

Hence you have configured Tumblr Social Login into Shopify Store.
