Adobe Captivate Prime Single Sign-On (SSO) / Login using WordPress as SAML IdP


Adobe Captivate Prime is one of the world's fastest growing learning management systems. You can now Single Sign-On(SSO) / Login into Adobe Captivate Prime using WordPress as Identity Provider (IdP) with Login using WordPress Users ( WP as SAML IDP ) plugin. Our plugin gives you the ability to use your WordPress (WP) credentials to Single Sign-On(SSO) / Login into Adobe Captivate Prime. Here we will go through a step-by-step guide to configure SSO between Adobe Captivate Prime as SP (Service Provider) and WordPress as an IdP (Identity Provider).

Pre-requisites: Download And Installation

To integrate the WordPress site as an Identity Provider, you will need to install the miniOrange Login using WordPress Users ( WP as SAML IDP ) plugin:

Guide to set up SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) in Adobe Captivate Prime with WordPress (WP)

1. Setup Adobe Captivate Prime as SP (Service Provider)

  • Go to the WordPress IDP plugin, navigate to the IDP Metadata tab.
  • Here, you can find the Identity Provider Metadata URL /XML File or endpoints like IDP Entity ID, SAML Login URL, SAML Logout URL (Premium Feature), Certificate for SP configuration.

  • Login to your Adobe Captivate Prime site as Admin.
  • In the Open settings panel, click on Login Methods tab.

  • Select Internal Users or External Users as per you requirment.
  • Click on the drop-down next to Login option and select Single Sign-On.

  • To adjust Single Sign-On settings click on Change.

  • Now navigate to the WordPress IDP plugin, in the SSO Options tab select your configured IDP from the dropdown to get the IDP initiated URL.

  • Navigate to your Adobe Captivate Prime site to enter the IDP-initiated Authentication URL that you got from the Identity Provider and upload your IDP Metadata XML File by clicking on Upload.

2. Configure WordPress (WP) as IdP (Identity Provider)

  • In the WordPress IDP plugin, navigate to the Service Provider tab and enter the values corresponding to the information from Adobe Captivate Prime.
  • Service Provider Name Adobe Captivate Prime
    SP Entity ID or Issuer https://captivateprime.adobe.com
    ACS URL https://captivateprime.adobe.com/saml/SSO.
    NameID Format Email ID
    Assertion Signed Checked

  • Click on the Save button to save your configuration.

3. Attribute Mapping (This is a premium feature)

  • In the WordPress IDP plugin, navigate to the Attribute/Role Mapping tab.
  • In the User Attributes section, enter the following information and click on Save .
  • You can also add more attributes by clicking on + sign to add attributes.
  • Name User Meta Data
    username user_login
    displayname display_name
    email user_email
