How to Configure WooCommerce Integrator Addon with SAML/OAuth in WordPress?

This guide explains how to configure the WooCommerce Integrator Addon with SAML or OAuth Single Sign-On (SSO). It shows you how to map user attributes to WooCommerce checkout fields and automatically fill customer information during login. You will also learn how to assign WooCommerce roles based on the attributes received from your Identity Provider.

Note: Please make sure that your WooCommerce SSO Login is setup using SAML SSO Plugin for WordPress before you configure the WooCommerce Integrator.

(Group mapping is supported with only Premium, Enterprise and All Inclusive versions of the SSO Plugin)

  • miniOrange WooCommerce Integrator allows you to map the attributes sent by your SAML IDP to the WooCommerce checkout fields in order to pre-populate the values of Woocommerce checkout Page. You can also map the users to different WooCommerce roles based on their IDP groups.
    Your IDP is sending the following attributes while performing SSO.

  • The SAML attributes contains all the information for the user. You can follow the steps below to map this to WooCommerce checkout page attributes:
  • Navigate to WooCommerce Integrator add-on.
  • You can map all those attributes that you want to pre-populate at your WooCommerce checkout page.

  • While performing SSO, as per the above-mentioned mapping, the values are sent from your Identity Provider will be mapped to the respective fields of the WooCommerce Checkout page.

WooCommerce Role Mapping:

  • Go to Attribute/Role Mapping tab of miniOrange SAML SP Single Sign On.
  • Under Attribute Mapping section, provide the Group/Role value as userGroup and click on Save button.

  • Now, scroll down to Role Mapping section and assign the group's value to a particular WooCommerce roles and click on Save button.

  • While performing SSO, as per the above-mentioned mapping, any user having userGroup attribute’s value as role_1 will be assigned as WooCommerce Customer role and any user with role_2 or role_3 value will be assigned WooCommerce Shop manager role.

Configure WooCommerce Integrator Addon with OAuth Client Single Sign-On (SSO) Plugin

miniOrange WooCommerce Integrator allows you to map the attributes sent by your OAuth provider to the WooCommerce checkout fields in order to pre-populate the values of the Woocommerce checkout page. You can also map the users to different WooCommerce roles based on their OAuth provider groups.

  • For setting up the miniOrange Woocommerce Integrator you must have the Woocommerce plugin activated and set up on your WordPress site.

  • Go to the miniOrange Single Sign-On (SSO) plugin for WordPress. Select your OAuth provider from the list.

  • Complete the OAuth Provider configuration setup by referring to the setup guides from here. After you have saved the settings. Click on Test Configuration button. You can see the Attribute name and its value in the test configuration table.

  • Go to the WooCommerce integrator add-on. Choose the OAuth Provider you wish to use from the drop-down menu (We supporte multiple OAuth Providers for configuration).

  • Select the OAuth Provider user attributes from the test configuration table that you want pre-populated at the checkout page of your WooCommerce store. And click on Save button.

  • Now, when a user performs SSO on your site, the values sent from your Identity Provider will be mapped to the appropriate fields on the WooCommerce Checkout page, based on the above mapping.

WooCommerce Role Mapping:

  • Go to Attribute/Role Mapping tab of miniOrange OAuth/OpenID Connect Single Sign On plugin.
  • Under Attribute Mapping section, enable Role Mapping option and click on Save button.

  • Now, scroll down to Role Mapping section and assign the group's value to a particular WooCommerce roles and click on Save button.
