Klipfolio Single Sign On (SSO) with WordPress as IDP | Login into Klipfolio using WordPress

Overview

Klipfolio offers an online dashboard platform for building real-time business dashboards. It allows business users to connect to many data services, automate data retrieval, and then manipulate, and visualize the data. Klipfolio uses a schema-less architecture that allows non-technical end users to more easily connect to data sources, and separates data from presentation to more efficiently use and reuse data sources throughout the platform.

Klipfolio SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) with WordPress as SAML IdP. Login using WordPress Users (WP as SAML IDP) plugin gives you the ability to use your WordPress (WP) credentials to login into Klipfolio (SP). Here we will go through a step-by-step guide to configure SSO between Klipfolio as SP (Service Provider) and WordPress as IdP (Identity Provider).

Pre-requisites : Download And Installation

To integrate the WordPress site as an Identity Provider, you will need to install the Premium version of miniOrange Login using WordPress Users ( WP as SAML IDP ) plugin:

Configuration Steps

Step 1. Setup Klipfolio as SP (Service Provider)

• Go to the WordPress IDP plugin, navigate to the IDP Metadata tab.
• Here, you can find the Identity Provider Metadata URL /XML Metadata or endpoints like IDP Entity ID, SAML Login URL, SAML Logout URL (Premium Feature), Certificate for SP configuration.

• Open a new browser tab or window, Log in to your Klipfolio Domain as Account Administrator.
• Go to Account and select Settings.

• Then go to the Single Sign-On (SSO) tab and click on Edit.
• Select SAML 2 from the provided options.
• Open the certificate in notepad and copy the certificate information (except the BEGIN CERTIFICATE and END CERTIFICATE) in the Certificate field.
• Click on Save button to save the SAML settings.

Step 2. Configure WordPress (WP) as IdP (Identity Provider)

• Go to WordPress IDP Plugin on the Dashboard and select Service Providers tab.
• Enter the following information into the corresponding fields. Click on Save.

Service Provider Name	Klipfolio
SP Entity ID or Issuer	https://<your-klipfolio-url>/SAML/consume
ACS URL	https://<your-klipfolio-url>/SAML/consume
NameID Format	urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:1.1:nameid-format:emailAddress
Assertion Signed	Check to sign the Saml Assertion

Step 3. Attribute Mapping (This is a premium feature)

• Select Attribute/Role Mapping. In the User Attributes section, enter the following information. Click Save.

Name	User Meta Data
email	user_email
