WordPress password reset can be reset using OTP Verification instead of email links. OTP Verification is initiated before resetting the WordPress Password.
After entering OTP, user can successfully reset their WordPress Password. WordPress Password Reset AddOn allows users to reset their Wordpress password using OTP Verification.
The purpose of this guide is to configure Wordpress Password reset AddOn.

Follow the steps to configure WordPress Password Reset Over OTP Addon.
Click on the OTP Verification plugin from the left side menu.
Go to the Addons tab.
You can see for all OTP Verification Addons.
From that select the "WordPress Password Reset Over OTP" Addon and click on the Settings button.
You will redirected to the WordPress Password Reset settings page.
1. Setup Phone Verification for WordPress Password Reset
Enable the checkbox next to WordPress Password Reset using OTP and enable Phone Verification.
Enter the Phone Meta Key. Meta Key is the key against which the additional value is stored in the usermeta table.
After that click on the Save Settings button.
Navigate to the WordPress Password reset page.
Enter your registered Username/ Email/ Phone Number to get OTP on mobile number and click on the Reset Password button.
OTP has been sent to your Phone. Enter the OTP in the field below and click on the Verify button to verify your phone.
Create a new desired password accordingly, confirm the password, and click on the Save Password button.
We can see the message displaying that the password has been successfully changed.
1.1 Use only Phone Number, Do not allow username or email to reset password OTP.
User can only enter the phone number of their account. user will not be able to reset the password using username and email address.
Select the following option to "Use only Phone Number, Do not allow username or email to reset password."
After that click on the Save Settings button.
2. Setup Email Verification for WordPress Password Reset
Enable checkbox next to WordPress Password Reset using OTP and enable Email Verification.
Then click on the Save Settings button.
Navigate to the WordPress Password reset page.
Enter your registered Username/ Email and click on the Reset Password button.
OTP has been sent to your Email. Enter the OTP in the field below and click on the Verify button to verify your Email.
Create a new desired password accordingly, confirm the password, and click on the Save Password button.
We can see the message displaying that the password has been successfully changed.
3. Change verification button text
Go to the Form Settings page.
Enter the text you want to use for the verification button and click on the Save Settings button.
