Step-by-Step Guide for Configuring Shopify Firewall Application

Overview

Prevent unwanted customers from entering your store before they make a purchase. Use features like country/state/city restrictions, IP and IP range redirection and blocking, and measures to block bots and visitors who use proxies, browsers, or VPN connections. Disable Right Click + Country visitors from specific countries or IP addresses from accessing your store. Using the app feature Anyone, including your competitors, cannot simply copy and paste your site's content into most modern browsers and claim it as their own.

Pre-requisites: Shopify Firewall IP/Country Block Application

• Log in to your Shopify Admin.
• Go to Apps → Shopify App Store
• Search for miniOrange Single Sign-On – SSO
• Click Install to add the app to your store
• Open the app from Apps to start Shopify Firewall

Step-by-Step Guide for Configuring Shopify Firewall Application

Step 1: Configure Country Block and IP Restriction settings

• Search and select the country name in the Block Country Settings section as shown below to block the visitors from that country to access your Shopify store.

• If you want to restrict visitors from specific IP then enter that IP in the IP Block section as shown below. You can also restrict visitors from multiple IPs from accessing your store then add these in IP Block section.

• After configuring the settings, click on the Save button to enable the restrictions on your shopify store.

Step 2: Configure Country Whitelist and IP Whitelisting settings

• If you want to allow visitors from specific Country or IP then enter that Country or IP in the Whitelist Country or Whitelist IP section respectively as shown below. You can also allow visitors from multiple IPs to accessing your store then add these IPs in Whitelist IP section.

• Click on the Save button.

Step 3: Redirect URL

• If you want to redirect the blocked countries/IP to any particular link then enter that URL in the Redirect Block Section as shown below. (If you leave it blank, user will be redirected to Access Denied Page)

• You can coose a template from predefined Customize Access Denied Pages to which you want the blocked users to be redirected.

• After configuring the settings, click on the Save button.

Step 4: Content Protection

• In the Content Protection Settings Section, you can enable various restriction features such as Disable Right Click, Protect Text, Protect Image, Protect Background Image, Disable Keyboard Shortcuts and Block access from VPN.

• After configuring the settings, click on the Save button to enable the restrictions on your shopify store.

Step 5: How to upgrade?

• Navigate to the Upgrade section in the Firewall application, and click the Upgrade button next to the Plan name you want to upgrade to.

• You will be able to access the upgraded plan features once you have paid the recurring charges.

Step 6: Inject code to your Theme

• If you wish to change your Shopify theme, then make sure to click Inject button as shown below.

Step 7: User Flow for Blocked visitors and Allowed visitors

• Whenever any customer visits your store from allowed countries and allowed IPs then they can access all the pages of your store.
• When any customer visits your store from blocked countries or Block IP , they will automatically get redirected to the Access Denied Page as shown below and they will not be allowed to access any page of your Store so your content will always remain protected. If you have provided any redirection URL then, blocked users will be redirected to that specific URL.
