Easy LMS Single Sign-On (SSO) / Login using WordPress as SAML IdP

Easy LMS is one of the world's fastest growing learning management systems. You can now Single Sign-On(SSO) / Login into Easy LMS using WordPress as Identity provider (IdP) with Login using WordPress Users ( WP as SAML IDP ) plugin. Our plugin gives you the ability to use your WordPress (WP) credentials to Single Sign-On(SSO) / Login into Easy LMS. Here we will go through a step-by-step guide to configure SSO between Easy LMS as SP (Service Provider) and WordPress as an IdP (Identity Provider).

To integrate the WordPress site as an Identity Provider, you will need to install the miniOrange Login using WordPress Users ( WP as SAML IDP ) plugin:

  • Login to the WordPress site as Admin.
  • Go to the WordPress IDP plugin, navigate to the IDP Metadata tab.
  • Here, you can find the Identity Provider Metadata URL /XML Metadata or endpoints like IDP Entity ID, SAML Login URL, SAML Logout URL (Premium Feature), Certificate for SP configuration.

  • Login to your Easy LMS domain as admin.

  • In the left panel select Advanced Setup by clicking on the button.

  • Select Single Sign-On from the left panel.

  • Navigate to the SAML Settings tab and provide the endpoints required for IdP configuration by following the table below.

SSO URL Provide the SAML Login URL / Passive Login URL from IDP metadata tab of the WordPress IDP Plugin
Entity ID Provide the IDP-Entity ID / Issuer value from IDP metadata tab of the WordPress IDP Plugin
Certificate Provide the Certificate downloaded from the IDP metadata tab of the WordPress IDP Plugin

  • Click on Save.
  • You configured successfully configured Easy LMS with your WordPress IdP.
  • You would need SP Entity ID , ACS URL from Easy LMS.
  • You can find this information after the Easy LMS Support Team sends you the proper configuration.

Instructions:

  • Login to the WordPress site.
  • Install and activate the Login using WordPress Users ( WP as SAML IDP ) plugin on your WordPress site which is acting as Identity Provider.
  • Go to the WordPress IDP plugin, navigate to the Service Providers tab.
  • Enter the values corresponding to the information from Easy LMS. Refer to the table below.

SP Entity ID or Issuer Copy and paste the SP-EntityID from Easy LMS
ACS URL Copy and paste the ACS URL from Easy LMS
NameID Format urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:1.1:nameid-format:emailAddress

  • Click on the Save button to save your configuration.
  • In the WordPress IDP plugin, navigate to the Attribute/Role Mapping tab.
  • In the User Attributes section, enter the following information and click on Save.
  • You can also add more attributes by clicking on + sign to add attributes.
