PrestaShop is a free and open source e-commerce solution written in PHP with support for the MySQL database management framework. PrestaShop is currently used by approximately 250,000 shops worldwide and is available in 60 languages. PrestaShop 1.7 is regarded as stable, and hundreds of online stores have already been established using v188.8.131.52 and its updates.
Note: Prestashop is still not compatible with PHP 8 which the latest xampp version has. So you need to install an older version or at least install PHP 7.4 side by side with PHP 8. Here the official supported PHP version page: Click Here.
