How to Set Up OTP Verification with Country Restriction in WordPress?

This guide explains how to configure the Country Restriction Addon for OTP Verification in the miniOrange OTP Verification plugin. It helps administrators enable or disable OTP verification for specific countries, manage country codes, and test form behavior to ensure OTPs are sent only where intended.

Let’s see how an administrator can enable or disable OTP for Selected Countries.

  • Go to the Settings tab in the OTP Verification plugin.
  • Select your default country from the dropdown menu.
  • Select the checkbox if you want to display the country code dropdown on the phone field.
  • Then, click on the Save Settings button.

Note: Enabling the country code option ensures that it is visible on all forms with OTP Verification enabled.


  • Go to the Addons tab on the left side. There, you will see all the available addons.
  • From the list, select the Country Restriction Addon and click the Settings button.

  • You will be redirected to the Country Restriction Settings page.

OTP will be sent only to the selected countries and blocked for others. The country code dropdown will update accordingly.

  • Select the checkbox to send OTPs only to the countries mentioned below.
  • Select the countries from the dropdown where you want to allow users to send the OTP.

  • Please note that the countries should be separated using a semicolon (;).
  • Then, click on the Save Settings button.

  • Go to your registration form and fill in the required details.
  • You will see only the selected countries in the country code dropdown menu.

  • Click on the Register button.

  • The registration will be completed successfully.

OTP will be blocked only for the selected countries and enabled for others. The country code dropdown will update accordingly.

  • Select the checkbox to disable OTPs only for the countries mentioned below.
  • Select the countries from the dropdown where you want to block OTP verification.

  • Please note that the countries should be separated using a semicolon (;).
  • Then, click on the Save Settings button.

  • Go to your registration form and fill in the required details.
  • Enter the phone number along with the country code of a blocked country.
  • Then, click on the Register button.

  • A pop-up will appear notifying you that this number is blocked for the selected country.
