How to Setup OTP Verification for MemberPress Registration Form?

• Download our miniOrange OTP Verification plugin and MemberPress plugin on your WordPress website.

Getting started with the setup

Let's explore how to setup MemberPress Registration form for the OTP Verification plugin.

1. OTP Verification on MemberPress Registration Form

You can verify the Users through the Phone or Email verification method.

• Go to the Forms tab in the OTP Verification plugin, then search and select MemberPress Registration Form from the list.

• Select this checkbox to enable the MemberPress Registration Form.

Email Verification

• Enable Phone Verification and click on Click here to see your list of forms.

• Click on add new custom field symbol to added new field.
• Enter the Field Name as a Phone field and select the field type as Text field from the select box.
• Make sure to mark the field as required.
• Click on Update Options button to save your field from the list of predefined fields.
• Note the Slug Name of phone field (as shown below).

• Now go to the Forms Settings page and enter the Slug Name picked up from the previous step.
• After that click on the Save Settings button.

• Go to your MemberPress Registration form page, fill all the required field and click on Sign Up button.

• A pop-up should come up asking you to verify yourself. Enter the OTP received on your phone and click on Validate OTP.

• The user will be successfully registered into their account after the OTP verification is completed.

• Enable the radio button for Email Verification.
• Then, click on the Save Settings button.

• Go to your MemberPress Registration form page, fill all the required field and click on Sign Up button.

• A pop-up should come up asking you to verify yourself. Enter the OTP received on your email and click on Validate OTP.

• The user will be successfully registered into their account after the OTP verification is completed.

2. Let the User Choose option

In this setting, during registration, the user will see both Phone Verification and Email Verification options and can choose either method to complete the verification.

• Enable the radio button for option ‘Let the User Choose’.
• click on Click here to see your list of forms.

• Click on add new custom field symbol to added new field.
• Enter the Field Name as a Phone field and select the field type as Text field from the select box.
• Make sure to mark the field as required.
• Click on Update Options button to save your field from the list of predefined fields.
• Note the Slug Name of phone field (as shown below).

• Now go to the Forms Settings page and enter the Slug Name picked up from the previous step.
• After that click on the Save Settings button.

• Go to your MemberPress Registration form page, fill all the required field and click on Sign Up button.

• The customer will be successfully registered to their account by selecting any one of the following methods.

3. Apply OTP Verification only for non-logged in users

With this setting enabled, non-logged-in users will be asked to complete OTP Verification during registration.

• select the checkbox Apply OTP Verification only for non-logged in users..
• Then, click on the Save Settings button.
