This restriction would be based on the quantity of products purchased and the amount allowed to be spent on each purchase per week or month by a user. They also wanted to offer their premium users the option to add Gift cards to the chart during checkout for promotional purposes.

1. Single Sign-On (SSO)
Bacardi deployed the Shopify SSO solution to impose stringent regulatory compliance and identity verification procedures, protecting the integrity of data and access to sensitive government-regulated products. This streamlined access management reduced the risk of unauthorized entry and ensured a more secure environment for handling and distributing regulated products according to governmental standards.
2. Content Restriction
Adding the Content Restriction application to the Bacardi Shopify store lets them control who can see certain product information or categories, making sure they follow government rules. They can manage who can view, buy, or access sensitive product details to stay compliant and prevent unauthorized use. Bacardi can also set monthly and yearly limits on how much customers can spend and how many products they can buy. Plus, employees can see and purchase products at discounted prices based on tags, while regular visitors won't see these discounts.
3. Avail Gift Cards
Bacardi used the Gift Card feature on its Shopify store to allow customers to redeem the card for approved products, providing a secure and traceable method of acquiring regulated goods within the legal framework. Integrating gift cards enabled both regulatory compliance and convenient, controlled access to government-regulated products on the Shopify platform.
