How to setup SMS Gateway in the OTP Verification plugin for WordPress?

An SMS Gateway is a service that enables the sending of SMS (Short Message Service) to mobile numbers, usually via a web interface or API. Businesses frequently use this service to send bulk messages, notifications, alerts, and verification codes directly to customers' mobile phones. The OTP Verification plugin supports various HTTP-based gateway request types, such as Basic Authorization, Gateway URL, POST-request, Twilio etc. Below are the steps to configure the SMS Gateway in the OTP Verification plugin.

Let's explore how to configure SMS Gateway Request types for the OTP Verification plugin.

  • Navigate to the OTP Verification plugin from the left side menu.
  • Go to the Gateway Settings tab and select SMS gateway request type as Basic Authorization from the dropdown.
