How to setup Yubikey Hardware Token for 2-Factor Authentication?

"YUBIKEY Hardware Token" is a 2fa verification method, in which a user needs to connect a USB into his computer which generates a key in the form of an alphabetic string. This process works with the combination of OTP (One Time Passcode) & hardware tokens.

Follow these steps to setup Yubikey Hardware Token for 2FA Enterprise plugin.

Click on the miniOrange 2-factor plugin visible in the menu to the left.

Here, you can see the Authentication methods available in the miniOrange 2-factor Enterprise plugin. Click on the Configure button underneath the Yubikey Hardware Token tile.

You will be shown the steps to configure Yubikey hardware token. Click on the miniOrange Dashboard link in the first step.

Enter your miniOrange account username or email address and click on the Login button.

Enter your account password and again click on the Login button.

You will be logged in to miniOrange Dashboard.
Click on the 2-Factor Authentication from the left side menu and select Setup 2FA.

You will be shown the Configure Second Factor page.
Select YUBIKEY Token in the Hardware Token tab to activate the method.

Click on Edit [🖍] button.
Connect the Yubikey hardware through the USB port.

Click inside the Enter OTP input field.
Now press the button on the Yubikey hardware token, otp will be automatically added in this field.
Then click on the Save button. The Yubikey Token MFA method will be enabled successfully.

Go to the plugin dashboard on your WordPress instance and click on the Back button.

Test the method click on the Test Authentication Method button.

Click inside the Enter OTP input field and press the button on the hardware token. OTP will be automatically added in this field.
You have tested the method successfully.

Now let's login using Yubikey Hardware Token authentication.
Enter your login credentials and click on the Login button.

Now you will get a popup to enter the OTP generated by Discord Yubikey Hardware device.
Please press the button on your Yubikey Hardware device. OTP will be automatically added in this field.

You will be logged in successfully.
