Follow these steps to setup OTP Verification on Ultimate Member Password Reset Form
1. Setup Mobile Verification for Ultimate Member Password Reset Form
- Go to the "Forms" tab in the OTP Verification plugin.
- Search and select "Ultimate Member Password Reset Form" from the list.
- Enable checkbox next to "Ultimate Member Password Reset Form".
- Enable "Phone Verification" option.
- Enter the "metaKey" in the "Phone User Meta key" field, against which the phone number is stored for all your users.
- If you do not know the meta key, it is generally "mobile_number" for mobile numbers in Ultimate member plugin.
- Click on the "Save Settings" button.
- Go to the "Ultimate Member Password Reset" Form.
- Enter your Email, Username or Phone.
- Click on the "Send OTP" button.
- Enter the verification code sent to your phone number in the verification field.
- Click on the "Verify and Reset Password" used in the previous step.
- Just enable the "Use Only Phone number. Do not allow username or email to reset password" option.
- Click on the"Save Settings" button.
- Go to the "Ultimate Member Password Reset" Form.
- Enter your phone number.
- Click on the "Send OTP" button.
- After successful OTP verification, you will be able to reset your password.
1.1. Allowing password reset by using only Phone number, not with username and email.
2. Setup Email Verification for Ultimate Member Password Reset Form
- Go to the "Forms" tab in the OTP Verification plugin.
- Search and select "Ultimate Member Password Reset Form" from the list.
- Enable checkbox next to Ultimate Member Password Reset Form.
- Enable "Email Verification" option.
- Click on the "Save Settings" button.
- Go to the "Ultimate Member Password Reset" Form.
- Enter your Email, Username or Phone number.
- Click on the "Send OTP" button.
- Enter the verification code sent to your inbox in the verification field.
- Click on the "Verify and Reset Password" button.
- After successful OTP verification, your will be able to reset your password.
