Zoom SSO - Login using WordPress Users (WP as SAML IDP) Plugin enables Single Sign-On (SSO) login into Zoom using WordPress Login credentials. In this guide we will Setup SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) with WordPress in Zoom by configuring Zoom as Service Provider (SP) and WordPress as Identity Provider (IDP).

Pre-requisites: Download And Installation

To integrate the WordPress site as an Identity Provider, you will need to install the miniOrange Login using WordPress Users (WP as SAML IDP) plugin:

Guide to set up SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) in Zoom with WordPress (WP)

1. Setup Zoom as SP (Service Provider)

  • Go to the WordPress IDP plugin, navigate to the IDP Metadata tab.
  • Here, you can find here the Identity Provider Metadata URL /XML Metadata or endpoints like IDP Entity ID, SAML Login URL, SAML Logout URL (Premium Feature), Certificate for SP configuration.
  • Configure SAML SSO in Zoom (SP) with WordPress - Zoom WordPress SSO Login
  • In a new browser Window, Log in to your Zoom account as Admin.
  • Navigate to Advanced tab, select Single Sign-On and then click on Enable Single Sign-On.

  • Enter the required endpoints from the IDP Metadata tab of the plugin.

  • Sign-in page URL Copy and paste the SAML Login URL
    Sign-out page URL Copy and paste the SAML Logout URL
    Identity Provider Certificate Download the certificate. Open it in Notepad, copy and paste the content here
    Service Provider (SP) Entity ID https://<vanity URL>
    Issuer (IDP-EntityID) Copy and paste the IDP-EntityID / Issuer
    Binding HTTP-Redirect
    Signature Hash Algorithm SHA-256

  • Click Save Changes to save your configuration.

You have successfully configured Zoom as Service Provider.

2. Configure WordPress (WP) as IdP (Identity Provider)

  • In the WordPress IDP plugin, navigate to the Service Provider tab and enter the values corresponding to the information from Zoom.
  • Service Provider Name Zoom
    SP Entity ID or Issuer https://<vanity URL>
    ACS URL https://<vanity URL>/saml/SSO
    NameID Format urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:1.1:nameid-format:emailAddress
    Assertion Signed Checked
    WP as IDP and zoom as sp
  • Click on the Save button to save your configuration.

3. Attribute Mapping (This is a premium feature)

  • In the WordPress IDP plugin, navigate to the Attribute/Role Mapping tab.
  • In the User Attributes section, enter the following information and click on Save .
  • You can also add more attributes by clicking on + sign to add attributes.
  • Name User Meta Data
    username user_login
    displayname display_name
    email user_email
