How to setup miniOrange Authenticator for 2-Factor Authentication | WordPress

How to secure WordPress account log in with miniOrange Authenticator.

Follow these steps to Set up miniOrange Authenticator.

• Click on the miniOrange 2-factor plugin visible in the menu to the left.




• You can see the list of Authentication methods here. Click on the Configure button beneath the miniOrange Authenticator.




• Go to the Google Play Store or the Appstore and install the miniOrange authenticator app. After successful installation of the miniOrange authenticator app and click on any of 3 authentication methods that you want.
• Soft Token (You will be prompted to accept or deny over the notification Over app)
• QR Code Authentication(You need to Enter OTP displayed on Authenticator App)
• Push Notification(You need to scan the QR code for verification)





• miniOrange authenticator app.




• After that you need to scan the QR code which is displayed with the miniOrange Authenticator app.




• When you scan the QR code, you will see a page like this which means that you have set up the miniOrange method successfully.




• 2-Factor Authentication method set Successfully.
• After this configuration, the selected method is invoked as a two-factor method.




• Please test the login flow once with 2nd factor in another browser or in an incognito window of the same browser to ensure your don't get locked out of your site.
• Enter your Login crediantials and click on the Login button.




• Select 2-Factor method for authentication.

Soft Token

• For miniOrange Soft Token, To confirm your identity, enter the authentication token shown in the app and tap the Validate button.

QR Code Authentication

• For miniOrange QR Authentication, Scan the QR code using the app while logging in to WordPress.

Push Notification

• For miniOrange Push Notification, You will receive a request for authorization on the registered mobile app, you have to accept the transaction request to validate identity or you can deny the request if it's not you


• Now your account is secure and only after verification will you be able to login.
