Easy LinkedIn Social Login for Shopify
LinkedIn is an extremely popular social platform that is mainly used for professional networking.
Through LinkedIn people all around the world can connect socially. It helps people put themselves out there by sharing their education and experience, building connections, and networking professionally. The platform at its core is a social networking application that allows people to make new contacts and build connections.
What is Social Login?
Social Login allows users to connect to any website using various networking platforms such as Facebook, Google, or Twitter. It is a form of single sign-on for users designed and implemented to make logging in easier for end-users. Using social login users can sign into any third-party website without having to create an account.
How does Social Login Work?
The social login process is extremely simple. Users come to your website and select whichever social login provider they want to login. They fill in their details on the social network provider’s site. Once the authentication process is completed by the social provider the user can start using your WordPress website. If they are a new user then they are registered and if they are an existing user they are logged in.

Steps to Configure LinkedIn Social Login into Shopify
1. Add Social Login App to your Shopify Store
Follow the steps below to configure LinkedIn Social login in Shopify
Configure LinkedIn Social Login

Visit
miniOrange Social Login
on the Shopify marketplace. Click on Add app to install it on your
store.

Once you have installed it, it will take you to the social login application
Dashboard. Then, click on LinkedIn.
2. Configure Custom App for Shopify LinkedIn Login:

Navigate to the
LinkedIn Developer Portal.
- Sign-In or sign-up with your LinkedIn Account.
- Click on My Apps > Create App.

Enter the App Name, LinkedIn Page URL and App Logo.

Once all the required details are filled, please agree to the terms of use
and click on Create App.

Once the app is created, click on Request Access for "Sign In with
LinkedIn using OpenID Connect".
- Now, go to Settings tab, and verify the application.

Now, scroll downwards, and under Additional Settings, add your
Shopify Store URL as the domain.

After the domain is added, please go to the Auth section. Enter the
Redirect URL, that can be found on the Social Login application.

Now, copy the Client ID & Client Secret and keep it handy for the
further configuration.
3. Complete Setup of LinkedIn Login on Shopify

Go to the Social Login application from the
Shopify Admin Dashboard > Apps > miniOrange Social Login.

In the miniOrange social login application, click on the LinkedIn Tile, to
open the configuration page.

Enter the Client ID & Client Secret kept handy and paste it in the
respective field. Put Scopes as openid email profile.

Click on Save & then on Test Configuration. After successful
authentication, you will see the test successful page.

Go to the App Dashboard and click on the toggle button on LinkedIn icon to
activate LinkedIn login button.

Now, You can see the LinkedIn social Login button is activated on your
Shopify Store.
You have successfully configured LinkedIn Social Login for your Shopify Store.
