Magento Google Social Login via Firebase Authentication | Log into Magento using Firebase Google Social Login
Firebase social login with Google can be easily set up with the Magento Firebase Authentication plugin. Enabling Google Social login on your Magento store will allow users to login with their Google account via Firebase instead of creating a separate account.
1. Steps to register the Google App in Firebase dashboard:
- Go to your firebase project and click on the Authentication tab on the left side of screen and then Sign-in method as shown below and click on Add new provider.
- Select Google option from the list of available sign-in options.
- Click on Enable option to configure the Google sign-in method and click on save.
- On the same tab, go to the Settings option for authentication. In the Authorized domains click on Add domain and add the domain of your Magento store.
2. Steps to configure Firebase Authentication extension
- In the Advanced settings tab, select Google from the list of available Firebase Authentication methods.
- Now your Magento Admin Login page will display a button to Sign In with Google.
- Clicking on the button will enable the users to login to your Magento site with their Google credentials.
You have successfully setup social login with Google app using Firebase Authentication to sign in to your Magento store by authenticating with Google credentials.
