What is social login?

Social Login allows users to connect to any website using various networking platforms such as Facebook, Google, Twitter, Amazon etc. It is a form of single sign-on for users designed and implemented to make logging in easier for end-users. Using social login users can sign into any third-party website without having to create an account.

How does Social Login Works?

The social login process is extremely simple. Users come to your website and select whichever social login provider they want to login. They fill in their details on the social network provider’s site. Once the authentication process is completed by the social provider the user can start using your Magento website. If they are a new user then they are registered and if they are an existing user they are logged in.

Pre-requisites : Download And Installation

• You can download the miniOrange Social Login Free plugin from the Magento Marketplace.
• Select Your Magento Store version from the Dropdown.
• Click on Add to cart.
• Go to the cart and checkout to buy the plugin.
• Click on Download and save the miniOrange Social Login Plugin zip.
• Unzip all contents of the zip inside the MiniOrange/OAuth directory.
{Root Directory of Magento} app code MiniOrange MagentoSocialLogin


• Run the following commands on command prompt to enable the plugin
      1. php bin/magento setup:di:compile
      2. php bin/magento setup:upgrade

Steps to configure Amazon Social Login into Magento

Step 1. Configure Amazon Social Login In Magento

Follow the steps below to configure Amazon login in Magento

 Configure Amazon Social Login

• Go to Here and sign in with your amazon developer account and select App Console.

• On the page, Click on the Create a New Security Profile button and enter a Name, Description, and Privacy Notice URL for your app. Click on Save

• Expand the Web Settings section.

• Enter the Callback/Redirect URL (from your social login Instructions)in the Allowed Return URLs.Click on save button to save your configurations.

• view your client Id and client Secret (Refer to the image below).

2. Set credentials in miniOrange Social Login Plugin

• Go to miniOrange Social Login Plugin → Click on Configure Apps → click on Amazon.
• Enable Amazon Social Login for Magento by enabling the toggle button.
• Copy the Client Id and Client Secret form above setup and Paste them into the fields in Amazon Instructions.
• Enter the required scope.
• Then click on Save & Test Configuration button.
• A notification from the plugin that the test was successful will be shown. That means your Custom app will set properly.

• Now, Navigate to customer login page. Here you will notice that Amazon Social Login button has been activated. Customers can now login using their Amazon Credentials.

You have successfully configured Amazon Social Login for Magento Website.
