Follow these steps to setup OTP Verification on Ultimate Member Login Form.

1. Setup Phone Verification for Ultimate Member Login Form

  • Navigate to the "Forms" tab in the OTP verification plugin.
  • Search and choose the "Ultimate Member Login Form".
  • Ultimate Member Login Form_Forms Section
  • Select the checkbox next to the Ultimate Member Login Form.
  • Enable "Phone Verification".
  • Ultimate Member Login Form_Enable Checkbox
  • Enter the "Phone User Meta Key" text.
  • If you're utilizing an Ultimate Member Registration form, utilize "mobile_number" as the Phone user meta key.
  • Select the "Save Settings" button to save your settings.

  • To check the OTP functionality, go to the page with your Ultimate Member Login Form.
  • Fill in all the required fields and click on the "Login" button.

  • A popup will appear for OTP validation. The OTP will be sent to the phone number associated with that user.
  • Enter the OTP and click on "Validate OTP" button.

  • 1.1. Let users add a phone number if it isn't already present

    • If a user doesn't have a registered phone number linked to their account, enable the option "Allow users to add a phone number if it does not exist".
    • Click on the “Save Settings” button.

    • Enter your login credentials and click on the "Login" button.

    • Click on the "Validate" button.

    1.2. Allow users to login with their phone number.

    • If a user prefers to log in using their phone number rather than a username or email, activate the option "Allow users to login with their phone number".
    • You have the option to edit the text for the "Username Field".
    • Click on the "Save Settings" button.

    • Enter your Username/Email/Phone Number and Password.
    • Click on the "Login" button.

    1.3. Prevent multiple accounts with the same phone number

    • With this feature, users cannot use the same phone number for multiple accounts.
    • Enable the "Do not allow users to use the same phone number for multiple accounts".
    • Click on the "Save Settings" button.

    • If a user attempts to use the same phone number for multiple accounts, the user will receive an error message.

2. Setup Email Verification for Ultimate Member Login Form

  • Navigate to the "Forms tab" in the OTP verification plugin.
  • Search and choose "Ultimate Member Login Form".

  • Select the checkbox next to Ultimate Member Login Form.
  • Activate "Email Verification".
  • Click on "Save Settings" button to save your settings.

  • To check the OTP functionality, go to the page with your Ultimate Member Login Form.
  • Fill all the necessary fields and click on the "Login" button.

  • The user will receive an OTP on the email address associated with their account.

3. Advance settings for Phone & Email verification

    3.1. Allow users to login with a password and OTP (2FA)

    • Navigate to the "Advanced Settings for Phone and Email Verification".
    • Select the "Login with Password and OTP (2FA)" option.
    • Click on the "Save Settings" button.

    • Enter your login credentials and click on the "Login" button.

    • You'll receive a popup to verify the OTP. Enter the OTP received in your phone/Email and then click on the "Validate OTP" button.

    3.2. Allow users to login with only OTP

    • In this feature, users can log in without a password (Passwordless Login). They'll just need to input their Username/Phone Number/Email address, and an OTP will be sent to their Phone Number or Email address, based on the OTP type enabled.
    • Select the "Login with OTP only" option.
    • Click on the "Save Settings" button.

    • Enter your Username and click on the "Login" button.

    • You'll receive a popup to confirm the OTP. Enter the OTP received via phone/email and then click the "Validate OTP" button.

    • The user will be successfully logged into the account once successful OTP verification.

    3.2.1 Allow users to login with Username and Password

    • With this option, users will have a backup choice to either log in with OTP or log in with Username and password only.
    • Select the "Login with OTP only" setting.
    • Select the option "Allow users to log in with Username and Password".
    • Click on the "Save Settings" button.

    • Enter your Username and then click on the "Login with Password" button.

    • You will now see a password field. Enter your password and click the "Login with Password" button.

    3.3. Allow the Administrator to bypass OTP verification during the login

    • Administrators have the option to log in without going through the usual OTP Verification steps that regular users are required to complete.
    • Enable the option “Allow the administrator to bypass OTP verification during the login”.
    • Click on the "Save Settings" button.

    3.4. Delay OTP Verification

    • With this feature, the OTP verification will not be prompted until the interval entered by the user while logging in.
    • Enable "Delay OTP Verification" setting.
    • Enter the time interval after which you want OTP Verification to be activated for users.
    • Click on the "Save Settings" button.

4. Select Redirection after login

  • Navigate to the "Select Redirect after login" feature.
  • If the user wishes to be redirected to the default page after logging in, activate the "Redirect to Default page (Current Page)" option.
  • Click on the "Save Settings" button.

  • If the user prefers to be redirected to a chosen page after logging in, activate the "Select Redirection page" option.
  • Choose a page from the dropdown list.
