Articulate 360 LMS SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) | Login into Articulate 360 LMS using WordPress

Articulate 360 LMS is one of the world's fastest growing learning management systems. You can now Single Sign-On(SSO) / Login into Articulate 360 LMS using WordPress as Identity provider (IdP) with Login using WordPress Users ( WP as SAML IDP ) plugin. Our plugin gives you the ability to use your WordPress (WP) credentials to Single Sign-On(SSO) / Login into Articulate 360 LMS. Here we will go through a step-by-step guide to configure SSO between Articulate 360 LMS as Service Provider (SP) and WordPress as an Identity Provider (IdP).

In Articulate 360

  • You must have an Articulate 360 Teams subscription.
  • Your team members need to have a supported version of the Articulate 360 desktop app installed 1.39.22088.0 or later.

  • Login to the WordPress site as Admin.
  • Go to the WordPress IDP plugin, navigate to the IDP Metadata tab.
  • Here, you can find the Identity Provider Metadata URL /XML Metadata or endpoints like IDP Entity ID, SAML Login URL, SAML Logout URL (Premium Feature), Certificate for SP configuration.
Configure SAML SSO in Articulate 360 LMS (SP) with WordPress - Articulate 360 LMS Single Sign on

  • Login to your Articulate 360 LMS domain .
  • To configure Single Sign On send an email to Articulate 360 Support team to request enrollment and include the information present below.
  • Your Articulate 360 Teams Subscription number.
  • Also, provide the Endpoints required from the WordPress IDP.
Name of Identity Provider WordPress
Issuer URL Provide the IDP-Entity ID / Issuer value from IDP metadata tab of the WordPress IDP Plugin
SSO URL Provide the SAML Login URL / Passive Login URL from IDP metadata tab of the WordPress IDP Plugin
Certificate Provide the Certificate downloaded from the IDP metadata tab of the WordPress IDP Plugin
  • The Articulate 360 Team will confirm your enrollment request, enable SSO in Articulate 360 and provide you with the SP metadata.

  • You would need Entity ID , ACS URL from Articulate 360 LMS .
  • You can find this information after the Articulate 360 Support Team sends you the proper
    configuration.

Instructions:

  • Login to the WordPress site.
  • Install and activate the Login using WordPress Users ( WP as SAML IDP ) plugin on your WordPress site which is acting as Identity Provider.
  • Go to the WordPress IDP plugin, navigate to the Service Providers tab.
  • Enter the values corresponding to the information from Articulate 360 LMS. Refer to the table below.

SP Entity ID or Issuer Copy and paste the SP-EntityID from Articulate 360 LMS
ACS URL Copy and paste the ACS URL from Articulate 360 LMS
NameID Format urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:1.1:nameid-format:emailAddress

Articulate 360 LMS SSO login using Wordpress

  • Click on the Save button to save your configuration.

  • In the WordPress IDP plugin, navigate to the Attribute/Role Mapping tab.
  • In the User Attributes section, enter the following information and click on Save .
  • You can also add more attributes by clicking on + sign to add attributes.
