iSpring SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) | Login into iSpring using WordPress

iSpring Learn LMS SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) with WordPress as SAML IdP. Login using WordPress Users (WP as SAML IDP) plugin gives you the ability to use your WordPress (WP) credentials to login into iSpring Learn LMS (SP). Here we will go through a step-by-step guide to configure SSO between iSpring Learn LMS as SP (Service Provider) and WordPress as IdP (Identity Provider).

Note: Premium Version of WP SAML IDP Plugin is required to set up SSO with iSpring Learn LMS.


Configure SAML SSO in iSpring with WordPress - iSpring LMS SSO login using Wordpress

  • In Connection Settings, fill in the fields with the information from WordPress.
  • Enter the values by referring to the table below.
Issuer URL
(IDP Entity ID)
Provide the IDP-EntityID / Issuer from IDP metadata tab of the WordPress
miniOrange Plugin
Sign On URL Provide the SAML Login URL from IDP metadata tab of the WordPress
miniOrange Plugin
Logout URL Provide the SAML Logout URL from IDP metadata tab of the WordPress
miniOrange Plugin
Certificate Fingerprint Follow the steps below to copy the Thumbprint of certificate:
1. Open the certificate that was downloaded earlier.
2. Go to Details and in the field column select Thumbprint.
3. Copy the Thumbprint that opens in the pane by pressing CTRL+C
(Right-Click wont work!).
4. Paste the Thumbprint in the Certificate Fingerprint.
Make sure that there are no spaces in between the Certificate Fingerprint.
Remove them manually.

  • The User can automatically redirect to WordPress Login page by selecting Redirect users to the SSO login page.
  • Click Save to complete the configuration.

  • Go to WordPress IDP Plugin on the Dashboard and select Service Providers tab.
  • Enter the following information into the corresponding fields. Click on Save.
SP Entity ID or Issuer https://.iSpring Learnlearn.com/module.php/saml/sp/metadata.php/default-sp
Reply URL https://.iSpring Learnlearn.com/module.php/saml/sp/saml2-acs.php/default-sp
Relay State https://.iSpring Learnlearn.com/module.php/saml/sp/saml2-acs.php/default-sp

  • In the WordPress IDP plugin, navigate to the Attribute/Role Mapping tab.
  • In the User Attributes section, enter the following information and click on Save .
  • Click on + sign to add attributes.
