How to Use WordPress SAML SSO Plugin Abilities with ChatGPT, Cursor, and Claude?

The miniOrange WordPress SAML SSO plugin supports the WordPress Abilities API, which allows AI agents like ChatGPT, Cursor, and Claude to interact directly with your site's SSO settings. With this integration, you can resolve SAML error codes, contact the support team, and change plugin configuration using simple natural language prompts instead of searching documentation or hunting for the right settings tab.

Before getting started, make sure the following are in place:

  • Install and activate the miniOrange SAML SSO plugin from your WordPress plugins page.
  • In your WordPress admin, click on miniOrange SAML 2.0 SSO, open the Abilities API submenu, and toggle Enable Abilities API (MCP Public) to On.

Note: You can use our plugin’s listed abilities with any AI agent. Here, we’ve chosen ChatGPT to show how this works.

WPSAMLERR010: IDP Entity ID mismatch

  • If WordPress displays the error code WPSAMLERR010, it means the Identity Provider (IDP) Entity ID configured in WordPress does not match the IDP’s actual Entity ID.
  • Send the prompt Fix WPSAMLERR010 issue to ChatGPT to automatically diagnose and correct the IDP Entity ID mismatch.
  • Once the issue is fixed, ChatGPT confirms it by replying WPSAMLERR010 issue has been fixed successfully, and you can test the SAML SSO plugin to ensure it works properly.
  • If the error continues, you can instruct ChatGPT to submit a query to the support team. This allows you to escalate the problem for further investigation.
  • If you submit the query without entering an email address, as shown in the screenshot below, ChatGPT will respond by asking you to provide an email address. The plugin requires this information to send the query to the support team.
  • Once you include your email address in the query, ChatGPT confirms that the request has been sent successfully. The confirmation message displays the details shared, such as your email and the issue description (WPSAMLERR010 – Entity ID mismatch error). At this point, the support team receives your request and will contact you directly at the provided email with troubleshooting steps.
  • On our end, we received a message from your email address along with the issue details you submitted through ChatGPT. We can now directly follow up and share troubleshooting steps with you.
  • On your side, you will receive a response message from ChatGPT. This message confirms that the support team will contact you at the email address you entered and provides an explanation of the error.
  • If the SSO login button is on the WordPress login page and you want to remove it, you can simply prompt ChatGPT to disable it.
  • ChatGPT will then automatically update the site configuration in our WordPress SAML SSO plugin.

In this guide, we explored three practical use cases where you can use the abilities of the miniOrange WordPress SAML SSO plugin directly through ChatGPT. These examples show how you can save time by making changes instantly and reducing repeated queries by handling common tasks yourself. There are many other abilities you can explore to simplify site management.
