In this case, we have a real estate company that wants to display a map on a WordPress site with all its locations as markers on the map. These locations are stored in Salesforce as objects containing the latitude and longitude coordinates of the locations.
On a similar basis, another real estate company wants to display a map on their WordPress site marking all the locations with additional details such as address, contact information, website URL, and so on. Here, the Custom Go Map Pro plugin will store all the information in its tables received from the Salesforce objects which contain all the information about different locations.

Solution

In both scenarios, we aim to synchronize the latitude and longitude of locations shown on the map. For Case 1, we'll use the ACF plugin, which helps create a field similar to Google Maps. In Case 2, we'll utilize the Custom Go Map Pro plugin, enabling synchronization of locations along with additional details like contact information, website URL, and address.

To accomplish this, we'll leverage the Object Data Sync for Salesforce plugin to sync location-related data from Salesforce Objects into WordPress. Moreover, we can set up a bi-directional sync, allowing us to store map locations in Salesforce objects as latitude and longitude coordinates. The flow in which the solution will be implemented is as follows:

To create sync between Salesforce and WordPress the Object Data Sync for Salesforce plugin checks the successful connection between WordPress and the Salesforce application. Once the connection is verified, Object Mapping is performed to map WordPress attributes to Salesforce fields which store the lat and long coordinates.
Once real-time sync flow is configured for Salesforce or bulk pull of records is initiated, the plugin would inevitably sync those coordinates to WordPress according to the Object Mapping configured.
In Case 1, The plugin will sync these coordinates from Salesforce to WordPress in a format acceptable to ACF and in turn, ACF will display them as location points on the Map on the WordPress site.

In Case 2, The plugin will synchronize these objects to the Go Map Pro plugin custom table, and in turn, Go Map Pro will display the markers on the map in WordPress. Additionally, all other details regarding the location such as shop name, contact details, address, website URL, etc. are also synced and displayed on the map along with the location markers.
