Pushfar SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) | Login into Pushfar using WordPress

Overview

Pushfar is one of the world's fastest-growing mentoring platforms. You can now enable Single Sign-On (SSO) to Pushfar using WordPress as your Identity Provider (IDP) with the Login using WordPress Users (WP as SAML IDP) plugin. This plugin allows you to use your WordPress (WP) credentials to securely log in to Pushfar via SSO. Here we will go through a step-by-step guide to configure SSO between Pushfar as Service Provider (SP) and WordPress as an Identity Provider (IDP).

Pre-requisites : Download And Installation

To configure Pushfar WordPress SSO with WordPress site as an Identity Provider, you will need to install the miniOrange Login using WordPress Users ( WP as SAML IDP ) plugin.

Configuration Steps

1. Setup Pushfar as SP (Service Provider)

Follow the following steps to configure Pushfar as SP:

• Login to the WordPress site as Admin.
• Go to the WordPress IDP plugin, and navigate to the IDP Metadata tab.
• Here, you can find the Identity Provider Metadata URL /XML Metadata or endpoints like IDP Entity ID, SAML Login URL, SAML Logout URL (Premium Feature), Certificate for SP configuration.

• Login to your Pushfar site.
• You would require the following endpoints from the plugin to configure the SSO:

Name of Identity Provider	WordPress
Issuer URL	Provide the IDP-Entity ID / Issuer value from the IDP metadata tab of the WordPress IDP Plugin
SSO URL	Provide the SAML Login URL / Passive Login URL from the IDP metadata tab of the WordPress IDP Plugin
Certificate	Provide the Certificate downloaded from the IDP metadata tab of the WordPress IDP Plugin

2. Configure WordPress as IDP (Identity Provider)

• To configure Single Sign On in the WordPress IDP side, get the SP metadata from Pushfar.
• Go to the WordPress IDP plugin, and click on the Service Providers tab.
• Enter the following information into the corresponding fields:

Service Provider Name	Pushfar
SP Entity ID or Issuer	Copy and paste the SP-EntityID from Pushfar
ACS URL	Copy and paste the ACS URL from Pushfar
NameID Format	urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:1.1:nameid-format:emailAddress
Assertion Signed	Checked

• Click on the Save button to save the configurations.

3. Attribute Mapping ^{Premium Feature}

• In the WordPress IDP plugin, navigate to the Attribute/Role Mapping tab.
• In the User Attributes section, enter attribute names under Name and choose the corresponding User Meta Data from the dropdowns.
• You can also add more attributes by clicking on + sign to add attributes.
