Discord Role Mapping allows you to automate the process of assigning role to the users in WordPress website on the basis of their role in the Discord server. When a user registers to your website it validates the user presence in the discord server and if the user is present in the discord server it allows the user to complete the registration and if the user is not present in the discord server we can either create a user in the discord server or we can restrict the user to complete the registration on your website.

Steps to Configure Discord Role Mapping (Discord to WordPress) Integration Addon with miniOrange Social Login into WordPress (WP)

Step 1: Configure Discord Role Mapping Integration in WordPress :

Follow the steps below to configure Discord Role Mapping Integration (Discord to WordPress) in WordPress

Configure Discord Role Mapping Integration in WordPress

First of all, Setup Custom Application for Discord. You can refer to the guide to setup custom application from Discord.
Now, Navigate to bot tab from left hand side menu. Click on the Add Bot button.

Copy the Token and paste the token in Bot Token Key field.

Now, Open your Discord server, right-click on the server name, then select Copy ID. Paste it in the Guild ID field.

Go to URL generator under OAuth2 section and select the following permissions.

Step 2: Role Mapping in WordPress based on Role in Discord Roles

Navigate to Server Settings on your Discord Server.

Go to Roles tab and click on Create Role button.

Enter the Role Name and other details. Save the settings.

Shift to Permissions tab and enable Manage Roles checkbox.

Now, Create custom roles in WordPress website as per the roles present in your discord server.
When a user registers through discord on your website. He will be assigned a role same as his role in your Discord server.
