WordPress Social Login Discord Integration Addon allows you to assign roles to users in discord server based on the membership level or subscription level in Memberpress Plugin. When a user register on your website he will be redirected to membership levels page where he can select a level/plan. According to the membership level selected by the user during registration user will be assigned a role in your Discord Server.

Steps to Configure Memberpress with Discord (Based on MemberShip level in Memberpress) with miniOrange Social Login into WordPress (WP)

Step 1: Configure WordPress Role Mapping in Discord Server :

Follow the steps below to configure Memberpress integration with Discord server using Discord Integration Addon in WordPress

  • First of all, Setup Custom Application for Discord. You can refer to the guide to setup custom application from Discord.
  • Now, Navigate to bot tab from left hand side menu. Click on the Add Bot button.

  • Copy the Token and paste the token in Bot Token Key field.

  • Now, Open your Discord server, right-click on the server name, then select Copy ID. Paste it in the Guild ID field.

  • Go to URL generator under OAuth2 section and select the following permissions.

  • Copy the generated URL and paste it in a new tab. You will be asked to select a discord server to join. Select the server and provide admin permissions to the server.

Step 2: Assign roles to users in Discord server based on membership level in Memberpress

  • Create a Membership Level on Memberpress plugin according to the roles you want to assign to your users in Discord server.
  • Navigate to Server Settings on your Discord Server.

  • Go to Roles tab and click on Create Role button.

  • Enter the Role Name same as the name of membership level on your MemberPress Plugin and enter other details. Save the settings.

  • Shift to Permissions tab and enable Manage Roles checkbox.

  • Now, Right click on the Role name and copy the Role ID from copy ID button.

  • Paste the Role ID in the field corresponding to the Role name.

  • Now, When a user registers through discord on your website. He will be redirected to Membership Levels page. User can choose from the available membership levels and proceed. User will be assigned the same role in the Discord Server according to the membership level he has opted while registration on your website.
