Steps to Configure Wechat Social Login into WordPress (WP)

Step 1: Configure Wechat Social Login into Your WordPress

Follow the steps below to configure Wechat login in WordPress

 Configure Wechat Social Login

• To set up Wechat social login on WordPress, go to miniOrange Social Login Plugin → click on Wechat Login Icon:

• Go to https://open.weixin.qq.com/ the WeChat developer page, click the Login button and enter your email and password to log into the site (please sign up if you have not signed up for the site yet).

• Go to the Applications page, click on the create a new app button.

• Enter your application name and description and upload two icons for the app. Then click the green "Next" button.
• [Note*-28x28 pixels and 108x108 pixels in PNG format, up to 300 KB in file size for the icon image]

• On the next screen of creation, enter the "Authorized Callback URL".(You should copy the Callback URL from the plugin instructions because it is weChat protocol that we can't change the callback URL once the app gets reviewed.)
• NOTE:-Be careful while giving the Callback URL.If required reach out to us through email.
• Click on the download link to download the WeChat registration form.

• Print the downloaded WeChat registration form, fill the form, save or scan the signed version.
• Traverse back to the application creation page, click on the "Browse" button and upload the WeChat filled and signed version of the form. Click on the Submit button.

• Next Copy the CLIENT ID and CLIENT SECRET from the App Settings and Paste them into the fields above.
• Copy your Client ID and Client Secret and save it on your miniOrange Social Login Plugin Configuration.
• You have successfully completed your Wechat App configurations.

2. Set credentials in miniOrange Social Login Plugin

• Copy the Client Id and Client Secret form above setup and Paste them into the fields in Instructions.

• Then click on Save & Test Configuration button.

• A notification from the plugin that The test was successful will be shown. That means your Custom app will set properly. Here you will get your ID, username and other Wechat App details.
• Now, You can see the Wechat Social Login button is activated on your WordPress Website. This will allow users to connect to your website using Wechat.
