How to setup 2-Factor Authentication (2FA/MFA) for WooCommerce login form?

WooCommerce is a very popular open-source eCommerce source. WooCommerce is a popular website builder on the market. You can use its themes to create appealing storefronts and product block models to customize pages. Recommended for budding businesses and online retailers. The WordPress 2FA plugin provides TOTP/OTP based verification, Email or phone verification methods after WooCommerce login form. To use it with 2FA, go to the forms page in the WordPress admin and change the default login form for WordPress 2-Factor Authentication(2FA) plugin.

Configuration Steps
Follow these steps to setup Two Factor Authentication (2FA) on the WooCommerce Login form.
Step 1: Installation for 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) plugin
- Open the WordPress dashboard, navigate to the Plugins section, and select Add New Plugin.
- Search for the Google Authenticator plugin in the search bar and click Install Now to install the plugin.
- Now, click on the Activate button.
- After activating the plugin, the following setup wizard screen appears.
- Now click on the Skip Setup Wizard button.
Step 2: User Select the Specific Role for Authentication
- Navigate to the Login Settings tab and Enable 2FA.
- Select the checkbox next to the user role for which you want to enable 2FA, then click the Save Settings button.
Step 3: 2-Factor Authentication(2FA) Configuration with WordPress WooCommerce login form
- Now, go to your WooCommerce Login Form page.
- Enter your WordPress login credentials on the WooCommerce login form and click on the Login button.
- miniOrange provides multiple 2-factor authentication (2FA) methods for WordPress as shown in the image below.
- You can select any 2FA method of your choice, but for the WooCommerce Login form, we will configure Google Authenticator by selecting it from the list of available 2FA methods.
- Now install Google Authenticator app on your phone and scan the QR code from the current page.
- Once this is done, the Google Authenticator Application will provide you with the six digits 2FA code to verify your identity. Enter this 2FA code in the field below and click on the Verify button.
Step 4: 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) Invoke with WooCommerce Login page
- Now open the incognito window in your browser and type your website’s URL.
- On trying to login into the WordPress account, the WooCommerce Login page will be prompted. Enter your account credentials and click on the Login button.
- After entering the credentials, the Google Authenticator method will be prompted as a second factor for WooCommerce Login form. Now enter the six digits 2FA Code from the Google Authenticator app and click on the Validate button.
- You will now be logged in to the WordPress dashboard with 2FA/MFA (Google Authenticator) successfully configured using the WooCommerce Login form.
