Steps to Configure Mastodon Social Login into WordPress (WP)

Step 1: Configure Mastodon Social Login into Your WordPress

Follow the steps below to configure Mastodon login in WordPress

 Configure Mastodon Social Login

• Go to https://mastodon.social/about and sign in with your Mastodon account.

• Navigate to Preferences and then click on Development tab from the left hand side menu.

• Now, Click on New Application button.

• Enter the Application Name, Application website and Redirect URL for your application.(You will find the redirct URL on the instructions page)

• Select the Scopes which you want to access and click on Submit button.

• Click on the Application Name and you will recieve Client Key and CLient Secret.

Step 3: Configure Default_Mastedon Social Login In WordPress

• Copy the Client Id and Client Secret form above setup and Paste them into the Mastodon Login fields in Instructions.

• Then click on Save & Test Configuration button.

• A notification from the plugin that the test was successful will be shown. That means your Mastodon custom app was set properly.

• Now you can see that Mastodon Social Login button is enabled on your WordPress site.

Step 3: Configure Default_Mastedon Social Login In WordPress

• Copy the Client Id and Client Secret form above setup and Paste them into the Default_Mastodon Login fields in Instructions.
• Then click on Save & Test Configuration button.

• Now, You will be asked to enterInstance Domain. Enter the domain link here.

• A notification from the plugin that the test was successful will be shown. That means your Mastodon custom app was set properly.

• Now, You can see that Mastodon Social Login Button is activated on your WordPress.
