Docebo Single Sign-On (SSO) using Shopify store as Identity Provider

Overview

Docebo Single Sign On (SSO) for your Shopify store. miniOrange provides a ready to use solution using your Shopify store. Pre-requisites: Store as IDP - SSO Login Application

To configure SSO into Docebo LMS with Shopify as IDP, you will need to install the miniOrange: Store as IDP- SSO Login Application on your Shopify store.

Configuration Steps

Step-by-Step Guide for configuring SSO into Docebo LMS using Shopify Store as IDP

Step 1: Get Docebo (Service Provider) Metadata

• Login into Docebo account using Admin login credentials.
• Navigate to Admin Menu and click on Add New Apps option as shown in the image.

• In Browse Apps and Features section, select Third Party Integrations section. Search for SAML and click on Activate button to activate Single Sign-On (SSO) in your Docebo application.

• Now again click on Admin Menu and click on the manage option in the SAML tab.

• Scroll down to SAML 2.0 SP Metadata section and click on Download to download the SP metadata. Keep this handy as it will be used in furthur steps.

Step 2: Configure Docebo in Shopify

• Go to your shopify store, click on Apps tab and select Store as IDP-SSO login application.

• From the left navigation bar select Apps and click on Add Application button.

• Go to SAML tab and search for Docebo and select Docebo (SAML).

• Click on Import SP metadata option.

• Upload the metadata file downloaded in Step 1.

• Enter the values corresponding to the information from Docebo application. Refer to the table below.

• Click on the Save button to save your configuration.
• Now navigate to Select option and choose Metadata tab.

• Now click on Show Metadata Details under INFORMATION REQUIRED TO AUTHENTICATE VIA EXTERNAL IDPS section. Copy down these data as they will be used in furthur steps.

You have completed Shopify side configurations.

Step 3: Configure SSO in Docebo Admin Account

• Go back to Docebo console, find out the SAML Settings tab. Click on the Checkbox in front of Active tab. (You can refer to Step 1 for this.)

• Click on the SAVE CHANGES Button.

Step 4: Testing SSO for Docebo

• Go to your Docebo application and click on SIGN IN button.
• You will be redirected to Shopify store Sign on Page. Enter your Shopify Store login credentials and click on Sign in.

• You will be successfully logged in to your Docebo account.

Hence, you have configured Shopify store as an Identity Provider for your Docebo application.
